Here's a video in which I list an extensive list of given names in Lebanon that have Greek origin.
There is a ton of other Greek names but that are not used in Lebanon, so in this video, I tried to pick the commonly heard of names only in Lebanon.
Let me know in the comment box down below if I missed your Greek name!
Peace

Beautiful..thank you!
You are always welcome!
Χαχα, ωραία το έκανες τ' όνομά μου! Μ' αρέσει η προφορά σου στα αραβικά 🙂
Ευχαριστώ πολύ! 😊
كل التحية والتقدير من متابع ألماني يحب اللغات مثلما تحبها أنت ...
شكرا لك سيد هانز..سلام من مدينة بيروت 😊
Ostfan comes from (Ο Στέφανος) .. in Greek we put an article before any name. And in Arabic it became أوسطفان because they didn’t remove the article before the name.
Great videos by the way! Μπράβο σου👍🏻
Thank you very much for the input!! 😍
Δεν ήξερα ότι στο Λίβανο υπάρχουν τόσα πολλά ονόματα με ελληνική ρίζα! Ισχύει το ίδιο και για άλλες αραβικές χώρες;
It’s the same for a lot of Arab countries because we have mixed with Greeks for centuries in Yemen for example you can find many of these words because Greeks came many years ago to try and take Yemen or at the time Sheba but the journey back was too rough so they ended up staying but for other Arab countries same for Syria and Palestine but the gulf of Arabia has more Persian influence
Στο RUclips παρακολούθησα ένα βίντεο, όπου ένας Σύριος Άραβας ισχυριζόταν ότι στη Συρία και στο Λίβανο υπάρχουν περίπου 1.5 εκατομμύρια Άραβες που έχουν Ελληνικές ρίζες. Ποια είναι η γνώμη σου γι' αυτήν τη θεωρία;
Mach weiter so! ❤
Danke dir..ich werde versuchen!
Great content patrick!😍

Money is related to ( alone ) monk monje monaco etc, When Zeus had a fight with Hera he hanged her alone from Olympus , and she became Ηρα μονία Hera monia - Hera the lonely Her worship was later moved to Rome , the first mint in Rome was in the yard of her temple , monia became moneta monnaie , moneda moneten , ki etera (etc ) in the dialects

Ya halaaa
foteny from fotia meaning fire or phare
Excellent. Φωτεινή [Photini] comes from φωτεινώς [fotinós] meaning "shining". Φωτιά [fotiá] (fire), φωτεινώς [fotinós] (bright), and φωτογραφία [fotoghrafia] (photo) have all the word φώς [fós] (light) encrypted into them. It's no coincidence since all of them are made of / require light to manifest. Many thanks for your input, Khalil!
''polyglot''Did you mention that Beirut comes from nymph Beroe ?? , Greek: Βερόη Beróē), in Greek mythology, is a nymph of Beirut, the daughter of Aphrodite and Adonis, and sister of Golgos.
does any of the following make sense ? Thanks in advance ! curas son , china woman , hua son , sapa wise , rima verb, ariy cultivate , harpay take with violence , ichus maybe , kaja burn , puriy I go , putymuy river , titi tit, uras hour , wale better , wannuy to kill , wata year, yaku water , kharasay i engrave , ayra air, naka i slaughter , kamay create , sukuy to suck , . QUECHUA profesor replied : Yes. Most of them make sense. China is female. Woman is warmi; son is qhary wawa; to talk- rimay; to buen _canay; ; I go- Nocca rini ; to walk- puriy. Maybe is Putumayu river .tit - ñuñu; uras is derived from Spanish horas- hours; To kill- huañchiy; huañuy is the noun for deth.; wata =year is correct; yacu or yaku is correct. air is wayra. to slauter- nak'ay; Kamay or camay is to order. Cheers!!!Paraglidecrete
