Halu is now a must-have for me. It brings me frustration to no end, but since I've unlocked all items, costumes, and collabs, I'm doing challenge runs to train for when the leaderboard becomes online and/or the next big update happens.
Also, Halu 5 with hardcore upgrade on stage 1(hard) mode is the penultimate challenge that I'm trying to complete right now. I'm basically brute-forcing & playing at least once a day to improve my game.
I've reached 30 minutes on Halu 5 hard mode with Bae. At this point, game is not even a challenge without Halu.
iirc kaela cleared max halu stage 1 hard with all characters so it is doable with anyone
Noice. Who do you use most often?
i've only cleared stage 1 hard halu 5 with mumei/sana/kronii as they are extremely good but i can clearn stage 2 halu 5 with just about anyone. i do endless/stage halu 5 but of course i havent found a way to get thru halu 5 past 30mins. always dies once yagoo starts coming.
@@fckihate69jokes
rbc can outscale yagoo
the increased spawn from halu makes mumei's civilisation scale so well early on it's hard for me to play without it

Since getting enough of the shop upgrades leveled up, coins are the only thing I currently care about. Thus, my ideal loadout usually goes Halu, Super Chatto Time!, Stolen Piggy Bank, and Credit Card, with Limiter/Knightly Milk to counteract the piggy bank range reduction, and the last slot I save for a lucky super unbox or a survival item depending on the character I'm using.
With the various upgrades from the shop, items, and stage multiplier, the piggy bank will get you 3 or 4 coins a second instead of the typical 1, which adds up immensely over the course of a run. The rest of the items are to focus on getting collabs as quickly as possible, and upgrading their damage frequently once everything is ready.
This is pretty much my load out when I do runs. I tend to prioritise getting a healing item and limiter.
the last space is for whatever.
I really love Suisei in this game, she can deal an obscene amount of damage. I never knew the damage numbers could get red lol
They go even further. Try Bae.
Ah, max Halu run. First go with it was my first go with Roboco. With her bonus from XP gains, the extra XP from all the extra mobs, and the extra XP from the glasses at the start, the levels were POWERING in and I was shooting ridiculously high. I think I actually got four or five collabs out of it!
It seems Roboco is the most powerful on 0.4
Four collabs is the most you can get. There aren't enough weapon slots for a 5th collab.
Once you have the 4th, your 6 weapon slots will be:
1. Character weapon
2. 1st collab
3. 2nd collab
4. 3rd collab
5. 4th collab
6. Free slot
2 base weapons are needed for any collab, but you only have 1 slot left.
@@dragonbretheren Goot point. Four it was.
Still pains me that Koe kept ignoring the EXP glasses to level up.
Its possible that the Super glasses could have dropped, but it's an RNG long shot. It does hurt that he didn't grab them first thing tho lmao
@@principalflame5199 if you have an item, you can't get the super version of it. so Koe grabbing it and just not insta leveling it up to 5 is what pained me.
@@teronius9444 really? I remember getting glasses super right after getting it lvl 1 of the regular item. It just replaces the low level with the super one
@@kraylis1 with all of my runs I haven't gotten a super of an item I have.
I rarely even use the glasses 😎
Only in Roboco or if there's no good in the choices.
Halu is fairly easy so long as you invest in upgrades and pace yourself.
My first clear was with Calli the first time I found Halu. Very straight forward, just pace yourself.
A tip for others struggling with it. I recommend Elite Cooking at 160%-180%. So save your anvils. Be sure to grab haste once or twice if you can.
This simple play does a lot to whittle down the enemies for your other weapons to finish them off.
So thats what those colabs are. Very nice. As much as i love discovering them on my own there is also the satisfaction of just knowing what items make what.
That said, i got to give this run a try.
Great job with the Halu Run!
I have a few pieces of advice for Koe (but mostly for others trying harder stages) on playing Fubuki optimally. I've completed Halu 5 stage 1 hard mode and even gone to the 30 minute point with her, and if you are struggling to do the same this should be helpful:
Fubuki gets a MASSIVE damage buff based on bonus move speed, however you only get this buff while actively moving. This means that if you're standing still for any amount of time, you are doing significantly less damage until you start moving again. If you do want to hunker down, running back-and-forth in place also works. This buff gets stronger with movement speed, but based on what I've observed the bonus speed you get from upgrades in the shop does NOT count. You need 150% move speed from items, skills, and stat boosts to cap the bonus (meaning it's more efficient to grab the 12% speed over the 8% attack until then).
Fubuki also has a 100% chance to dodge attacks both while her special is active and while the Friendzone buff is active, making her invulnerable. You can use this to help position yourself better if surrounded, but there is an even better way to use this effect. Kon Kon gives an 80% chance when Fubuki dodges to deal hefty AOE damage. Since each enemy can hit you several times a second while you are in contact with them, this effect can be triggered rapidly while running through large groups of enemies.
Every 12 seconds (maybe affected by haste?) your Friendzone buff will be ready; once triggered you have 3 seconds to mow down as many enemies as possible. Until at least the post-23-minute mark, Kon Kon + Friendzone will allow you to easily clear any large groups that have gathered simply by running straight through them. The reason this is often preferable to playing defensively and holding onto Friendzone as long as possible is because more kills = more experience = more weapons and items. You may lose the bonus speed (and attack that comes with it) from Friendzone after it is consumed, but that is more than made up for by your ability to clear massive groups of enemies in an instant. You have an even longer window to run through crowds while your special is active, though Friendzone can be procced even while the special is active which may cause it to be wasted.
I honestly prefer playing other characters, but having done halu 5 hard mode on every character I will say that Fubuki was one of the easiest to do it with after figuring out the strategy of running face-first into danger. It may not be the safest strategy if your are attempting hardcore runs though. Best of luck to you!
What I've learned is that Fubuki plays nothing like other characters (yet, as of this comment being posted, which is only Myth, Council + Irys, Gamers and Gen 0).
EVERYONE else's kit is about constant DPS and ways to enhance their base weapon. Which is why everyone else has a very "meh" kind of base weapon, but it gets upgraded to something really good, be it through good DPS or utility bonus.
Fubuki on the other hand, has good base weapon, but it stays around that level the entire time with only some very minor boosts. Her skills do more damage than her base weapon, making her heavily focused burst DPS. But even that burst seems to also be reliant on the number of enemies. While each enemies will do multiple ticks of damage per second, the tick-rate seems to be independent, meaning more enemies = more ticks of damage in a given time. When you fight the boss almost in a 1-on-1 situation, that's Fubuki at her weakest.
Unfortunately, the friendzone CD timer is set 12 seconds and cannot be shortened, making her have a pretty long downtime, especially if you accidentally trigger the buff at unwanted times. I wish the CD timer was shortened a bit to like 8 or 9 seconds at max rank.
@@NotASuspicousPerson I almost think that if the cooldown were shorter, it would be a bit too strong.
And you're right, each enemy has its own attack timer, so you can dodge multiple hits from any enemy touching you at once. Your weapons serve mostly to crowd control and wittle down enemies between burst windows. The super-high movement speed makes this playstyle viable even into 29 minutes with halu 5, so it works fine.
The only reason I don't like Fubuki as much is the same reason I don't play Kiara often: I like standing still. I'm lazy like that.
@@CrashTestCollin I too, am lazy lol At least Fubuki is SPEED so there's that to enjoy, and the moment you run through the mob and just clean everything up like a vacuum cleaner is very satisfying lol.
Epic gaming run. Definitely want to give this challenge a go once I've suffered though Hard mode with all the characters. Would be impossible if not for maxing out all the power ups making it even possible with Amelia. Can't wait for the Asacocco challenge which sounds absolutely insane.
Hey Koe, I think you may have yet to unlock one of my favorite post-update items, the limiter. You can unlock it by playing ten minutes with Sana post-update.
Congrats on the Halulive content.
You inspired me to try a full Halu run for the first time. I got the perfect storm. First item Halu, I also ended up with piggy bank AND super chat. Rank 30 Fubuki, level 6 coin upgrade, my score was 660,400. Holocoins gained: 8,269 + 12,574 (Halu Bonus) + 6,801 (Win Bonus). Total Holocoins for my first attempt: 27,644. This was without a Golden Yagoo spawning as well.
I’ve been struggling with the hard stage on full Halu. I’ve succeeded in getting to the last boss, but I died after 5 minutes of the boss just refusing to die
here's a quick tip:
try to get around 95% speed by the time the boss comes. It's the sweet spot that lets you completely dodge the red spiral bullets at close range by running through the big gaps between them. That way you can focus more damage on it, though it is kinda risky
Level 82 on stage 1 MonkaS such is the power of max halu and max glasses
Also, ggwp nice 4 collabs run
Sora thrives in a Max Halu run
HALU, Piggybank, Superchat and Limiter are the 4 horsemen of Getting Rich in this game
My first max halu was with Kiara in endless it went preety well but lost to yaggos at Level 113
As a Mumei main, Halu is a buff item with gold boost as a bonus lol. There is nothing more satisfiying than a screen that's full of enemies
I feel like Calli would be a great choice for a Max Halu run
Can confirm, she's satisfying to run with max Halu.
dude, death lv 3 with max halu feels so great
@@Rigter9029 that’s exactly what I was thinking. High attack + high Lv Death + Max Halu = $$$$$$$$$$$$
Just give her crit items like piman / sake and she's gold
Wait, what is this "eliminate" button there? I have latest version and I don't think it exists for me.
According to a Reddit post, it's apparently an unused or currently unused button that doesn't work.
Perhaps a later update will add this feature. If it's like Vampire Survivors, it would probably allow you to remove a weapon or item choice that you DON'T want showing up again. Like say... injection-type Asacoco or Membership. You would use up that level to eliminate one of these, and they wouldn't show up for the rest of the map.
The issue is that since stat boosts or money gain can also be present in the choices... would it also allow you to remove those as well...? Food for thought. In any case, that's just a theory for now.
In a normal run with halu(non-challenges), lv3 usually suffice for the first 10 min.
After you get some more weapons and gears, get it to 5 and enjoy the exp and coin.
0:48 I agreed that Holocure is only strict to Hololive & HoloStars character. But I agreed with Koe about the game similar to Vampire Survivors or HoloCure with Nijisanji, VShojo & other Vtuber. It's the first thing comes to my mind when HoloCure is here, but the problem lies to its Creation.
What type of gameplay gimmick the character you'll play as? For VShojo sure we had a variety rosters gimmick, traits and skill.
But Nijisanji? If we not excluding Nijisanji EN then what are you gonna expecting the skills, gimmick and content you had? They had 200 maybe more Rosters and some of them aren't so special or big thematically especially Nijisanji JP, Ex-ID & Ex-KR where lot's of them are just grounded normal anime-esque character. And also, I don't think small team are capable handling Nijisanji Rosters who keeps pumping more and more Talents.
But, after HoloCure. I might needed VShojo Fan-made game like HoloCure or Official Ones like Holo_ERROR or HoloEARTH
That was a fun run gj!
Since when does the game have an eliminate button on level up?
おめでとう!
それじゃステージ2もチャレンジしてみようか
Halu + exp glasses make the game easier in my eyes
more enemies -> more exp * more exp -> stonks
you just have to get it early - when you can still one shot them
Fubuki's skill gives a damage increase 10% for each 10% speed she has up to 150. This man really said she was "fast enough" at 80 speed and took 8% attack over 12% speed. Finished the whole run at like 110% speed wasting 40% of easily obtainable damage. Even passed up energy drink which is effectively 20% haste, 50% speed, 50% attack on fubuki to get gorilla paw. Oh well.
I find max halu runs on stage 1 to actually be about as easy as a normal run. The extra xp you get makes up for the greater amount and strength of enemies. Get a limiter and micomet or flattening board and you can just stand there for most of the run. Was suprised to see him go for elite cooking+BL Fujo over micomet+frozen sea but I guess it's fine either way.
my fav combo of choice is calli spider and bl and then def items is sheep and knights milk
and some of callies extra skills
Did a max halu run with Fauna, with her insane heals first try. With the right passives she's pretty much untouchable.
Max halu at 2:30 is a real halu run.
Maxing Halu as fast as possible to maximize to coin gain.
Halu is a must have for me.. i have easier time clearing stage 2 with halu then without.. the increase in enemies = more levels.. a lot more levels.. we're talking about easy 4 collabs. and that they have more hp doesnt matter at all if you get membership. the halu coin increase far outpace the membership 3 coin per second... if you still level slowly then get limiter to pick up xp safely.
As a Calli Main, Max Halu runs is Euphoric for me.
because of death lv 3? I know that is for me
Who I think stands the best chance in a Max Halu run:
Mumei - Huge damage boost from Civilization
FBK - Dodge queen
Mio - Nearly invincible with the right items and Hatotaurus.
bae is the answer. just slap a pillow on her to dodge red stuff. can't be killed if you just outright kill everything
also kiara.
I think Fubiki Shirakami is my favorite character with all the speed. She's not very easy to play but I actually enjoy playing her alot. I actually think I prefer speedy characters in games anyway.
My first halu run was with sana, and it was a piece of cake
Funfact: Halu in Indonesian roughly translates to high/drunk
Also delusional
What's with the ELIMINATE button on the Level Up menu? That an in-game unlock or do you have to mess with the code?
Meanwhile, me using Sana, Mumei or Sauna always keeps main weapon, halu and limiter maxed out and just stand still and let the attack do the works.
Sake buff stays up when you get hit if you have daki shield
i think my first full halu run was with...kiara maybe? either kiara or miko but i main kiara currently
my go-to collabs before i max out halu are light beam and micomet and thus far it's worked out pretty nicely
i can consistently beat stage 1 with max halu and semi-consistently beat stage 2, but i've yet to attempt hard mode with halu because it intimidates me LMAO
for holocoin farming i usually equip super chatto time in addition to halu if possible but lately i've been experimenting with also having piggy bank equipped and selecting another item (limiter or knightly milk) that sort of counteracts the pickup range nerf, the downside is that it only leaves two slots open for items, which i usually spend all on healing/defense items
limiter + glasses + halu + energy drink + pillow + any damage item is my go to. use chara that have innate damage buffs, like bae / mumei, easy 60-70k per 40 mins or so on hard
Yo Ko, been watching for a while. Love the content. Is there a chance for a reaction to Do U by Kiara?
Fun fact: Bae is the Fastest with default stats.
Halu run on stage 1 hard is a must
I find max Halu runs are super easy with Roboco, and is a fantastic way to farm coins if you don’t have everything maxed out yet
Halu bonus is soooo op, personally I love going for as many coins as possible in a single run, so far my highest is 53k
Personally, when playing a character that encourages movement, like Kiara or Fubuki, I don't like taking Elite Cooking. EC encourages staying still to stack the puddles, which doesn't mesh well with abilities that gives buffs from moving.
And yes, I'm aware you can circumvent that by moving in place, but I still feel like it defeats the spirit of what those abilities are designed for.
what's that eliminate button next to reroll?
Wait, what's eliminate? I've never seen that before. How do you get it?
Halu is a challenge? BRB...
Well, that was easy and I liked how they changed Kiara.
1 Speed kills. 2 Crits kill. 3 Shields are better than healing as I stopped with the healing skills months ago... After some miscalculations, I only ended up with one collab and 6 max weapons. Oops.
If the next update give up hololive gen 3 and 4 is rushia and kaichou will be in the game or not
Use Sana survive in 10min and you will get buff that increases 100% pick up
Koe still not uploading his playthrough as Miko. o7
30,000 Holocoins in one run, wow!
still low. office will give you 45-55k and hard will give you 60-70k
I feel like stage 1 is harder to Halu 5 bc of the gap between Trip deadbeat and Hoomans
Am I the only one that picked this thing so much now playing it normally is just doesn´t feel right?
What's the Eliminate button? Weirdge
I have played this game so much since the update and I STILL have yet to get a SINGLE super item. My game is up to date with the launcher and I even reinstalled in case I somehow broke it. Nothing. My friend couldn't believe it, so he started a run and got a super item on his second box. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue, so am I really just that unlucky?
Unfortunately, yes.
I myself have gone numerous runs without getting a single super item and then get one a long time later.
Halu is in my opinion the strongest item, and roboco is one of the better characters for max halu in my opinion
Comparing my normal non-halu gameplay with your halu run is WAY different. I thought me at level 50 with 2 collabs is good nuff but 4 COLLABS AND getting 10k coins in a single run..? I need to practice more www
It almost feels like halu is easy mode with how luch money and exp it allows to build up....like you speedran through the collabs with how many levels you were gaining so quickly ....
That's because this is level one, it's supposed to be sort of easy. Now on level 2 and level one (hard)... it's chaos.
@@phantomy2034 it's still impressive how it trivialises things nonetheless.
Maybe there will be off holo skins.
I actually can't win Halu 5 with Mumei lol Kiara is the most consistent for me
Not to brag but my mumei rank is 50 so if i play it in endless its pretty boring right now hahahaha
I mean, not that ranks above 21 matters anyway since the stat bonus caps at 20%.
⠀
