Thank you so much for all you do!! I've decided to grow willow on my family farm in Ohio in the States. It will be at least 2 years before I have any of the new willow to weave with. I have been experimenting with more rustic projects with green willow of a native variety already growing in the bottom lands of the farm. But your work is making me so eager to have my selected and planted willow crop to come in.
And in these difficult times globally (but maybe especially in the States) your farm and your gentle spirit and craft have been deeply calming and filled with quiet hope and joy. I appreciate you and your videos more than I can express in words.
Amy that is so lovely to hear, thank you! I am delighted you have started planting willow and weaving. Small steps, persistence and patience and you will get there.
Lovely, I think I can weave this one!
How many rods for a project like this?
The packing weave is just like short row shaping in knitting :) I really want to make one of these, it's lovely!
Thank you! 😊 I did not know that...
Fabulous Hannah, you always inspire me, I will be making one of those and I struggle with my oval work so will watch out for oval offer. Thank you for sharing with us your skills

So amazing, I have made 3 baskets years ago. I still have 2 of them. But I have forgotten what I learned. Thank you for bringing all the memories back. Weaving baskets is very satisfying and calming. I love it.

Wonderful video. Thank you. Was that you playing the harp? It was lovely!
About 3:49 is when the actual weaving how-to starts. For folks that just want to see the actual weaving.
👍👍👍...
I love your videos, can you please tell me what material you are using in this video for the weavers? I’ve been making baskets using willow weavers, but the weavers you are using here are much longer and more consistent in diameter. Can I buy these weavers online or from you? Thank you.
Hello, please translate from Russia. Please 🙏
I have made many of the ribbed wall baskets. I have never thought of this wall basket. I will have to give it a try, Thank you for posting. Health and Happiness Regards Chuck.

Brilliant basket. It took me a while to understand where you were going with it.
Супер!!! Очень красиво, можно поставить горшки с цветами. Благодарю за видео. Беларусь, Гродно
I’m counting down the minutes..........And I know that Hanna has something special planned !
I just found you today and have subscribed. You are very clever, I have watched your tutorials all evening they are so interesting. Please may I ask, I have a small garden and would like to make a living willow item. Just something to fill a gap. The roots travel far don't they what would they do to the garden? Thank you
Awesome! Thank you! Yes always be careful where you plant willow. They are very vigorous, need plenty of space and will smother smaller, less vigorous plants. Plant away from any drains, water pipes and percolation areas. That said they are very easy to cut back, and then you can use those sticks for baskets!
Bella,me encantó. Me encantaría poder hacer esa canastita.
I could sit here all day and watch you weave.... Cuppa tea, sun through the east window, your channel, is the perfect way to spend a Sunday... your amazing, and so lovely to watch. These are your children? Very hard working and very beautiful music... my two are just the same....
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the video's.

should i wait till spring to plant or is now (mid august ) a good time ?
Hi Robert, that is awesome! Wait until winter, when plants are dormant to plant.
Wonderful! I crochet and always wanted to learn to weave willow and have found you! Thank you for putting up videos. I watched your live fence video. How does it look now. Do you think you might do a follow up video on it? Thank you!
Glad you are enjoying the video's! The structures are both doing well yes, all leaved up. I will probably do a follow up video next year....
