- How you set your snow goose decoy spread is very important. Set your snow goose decoys properly and you can kill geese day after day during the conservation season even with wind changes. Set your decoy spread improperly and you will be moving decoys all day to account for changing wind speeds.

umm what if we wanna downs size the spread to as little as 10 or 20? what will i have to do?
@mcrmurray i did it though with 50 dekes out, killed 15 geese in 3days alone, it can be done
@1MarineRecon7 oh well in oregon the limit is 4 specks and 6 whites so i'm used to hunting over a big spread.
@mcrmurray well for a one man hunter, and being in california, only allowing 6 geese a day, its better to go lighter sometimes

I have 150 snow goose dekes and I kill more Geese using 2 or 3 dozen dekes than all of them, it might be small groups but it gets the job done for 5 people
@1MarineRecon7 you said 10-20 and that's not very many for 3 days lol
@1MarineRecon7 sorry man but 10-20 decoys isnt going to kill very many at all, you would just be getting into very small groups or singles, you would be able to kill a few but if you're someone who likes to kill a lot and help bring down the population youre going to want at least 200-300+, and thats if youre scouting the geese if its in one field all season you would want at least 600-1000, thats just my opinion, bud
