Definitely been a fun game so far, reminds me of final fantasy tactics. Only thing that seems odd is the MC not having his own unit that I can upgrade or even look at. At least not at the point I'm at. Seems odd that he's only playable in those select missions/modes.
Yeah, I do wonder how that progresses forward but I believe the MC's role is more of a tactician.

Ya, its the gacha nature that ruins it. I am tired of games that have ti have random based monetization. You want me to pay for skins, sure. You want me to play for some DLC content? Sure. You want me to throw money at some arbitrarily designed software....fuck no. I already gamble with magic the gathering, I am good thanks.
I kind of zoned out, so the sudden "gacha" in the second half of the video really took me by surprise. I didn't realize it was that kind of game., haha
Yeah it's kind of half and half. You can fully just play the story and mostly ignore the gacha.
Looks like this could be my favorite game ever

The visuals and some of the mechanics remind me a lot of Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, I don't know if you've played that, if not I totally recommend giving it a try!

Aw bummer, I had pre-registered for the game already so I can't use your code. To be fair though, I don't spend any money on these types of games so I don't know that you'd make any money from me 😅
I do enjoy the features you listed - using the environmental hazards, different win conditions, the way the weapon triangle works. I also enjoy the rank system, which is how you unlock additional skills, and trying to take advantage of traits. However I don't love the sort of notorious mobile game-like aspects of it - the "endurance" system that limits how much you can do at one time, all the different events and such that cover the home screen that you typically can't do much with unless you pay. And of course the whole gacha element....like I did my 30 pulls to get that guaranteed legendary character...and it was a healer. I already had a high-level Epic-rarity healer. Maybe I'm just not the target audience here but that sort of thing does not make me want to keep playing.
I fully understand your points and the worry. I myself tend to focus more on the story section, but usually I don't spend money on these types of game just trying to keep a casual approach to it.

That's fair, and I fully understand. The game's story mode doesn't engage much in those type mechanics. The only thing needed to unlock further are keys that you get for free through daily logins. But you know I understand not wanting to jump in game that has mechanics that turn you off to it.
The story mode (not the fool) is free from gacha
