The underground doesn’t need a reset per se, nor is it going extinct. The people mfs idolize need to be replaced, and a conversation needs to held about idolizing artists in general.
never gonna happen everyone in the underground are ass and sound the same we don’t need bipolar wannabe emos next up lmfao if they haven’t made it yet they’re in the underground forever lmfaooo. Lucki Lone Ken Yeat ect made it out because they were unique these other rappers are pure doo doo.
I hate how people will focus on this specific part of the underground and act like it's the entire underground. There are tons of other underground artists that are way better than these guys 💀
People hate mixing mainstream and underground but there’s so many different artists yet when people talk about “underground” they really just talking about the most mainstream underground artist. Idk how to explain it but u might get what I’m saying 😂
There's a lot of talented and unique artists out there who have the potential to become greater than the most popular artists in the industry but however they don't seem to get that recognition and support. I guess it's due to the fact that a lot of people are more concerned about who's popular and trending. You'll find that a lot of these popular artists are carbon copies of existing artists
In my opinion all yall niggas forget theres more rappers in the underground than slayworld, slayworld affiliates and clones, and the whack ass jerk and darkplugg subgenres created by rap nerd teenagers with bandlab or fl studio vocal presets. tony shhnow, oodaredevil, boofpaxkmooky, vonte, lil xelly, 1600j, realyungphil, texako (eh), robb banks, matt ox, 10kdunkin etc. nobody talks about these rappers in the slightest but will sit here and say “the underground is dying”
I personally think the real root of the problem is that the hip hop industry as a whole is very congested especially the rap industry, I'm no expert in music but I have noticed that there is more presence of a new "upcoming" rapper each year. Also the rap community as a whole is fast moving with many projects and singles dropped with little down time and I feel the fan base is to blame for this for example I find it too common in the rap community when an artist doesn't make music or you stop seeing them or hearing their name for over a year people believe they have "fallen off" while someone like Ed sheren can disappear for years with little presence but remain in favor of the pop community
@@antoniosavage7029 machine gun Kelly is one of my favorite artists, despite what many people think, he's transition to rock was strategic and he already hinted at it way before the beef with Eminem. I believe the artists that truly last are the ones who utilize this tactic of incorporating different genres into their music, it keeps things fresh and outside of the toxic areas of hip hop fan base. MGK for example his transition to rock garnered a fan base of rock enthusiasts who might then listen to is original and future work
Maybe it’s just time to check out newer artists who aren’t constantly getting beefs or have the same sound people gotta be more open minded, that’s literally the main problem

Still waiting on Inferno. Didn't think i'd see anyone here ever mention the group. I still rewatch their show vlogs that was released years ago. I will say though, and please don't crucify me for this one, Midnight Society had some crazzzzzy momentum going for them in 2017-2018, but what is it that they're doing now? Are they still doing music as a group?

Take it from us SoundCloud old heads that watched that old group basically go no where . You waiting on this mfs to blow up from the underground don't hold ya breath , shit in still waiting on robb bank$ to blow up
And Rob banks is platinum selling artist Shaggy’s son, no rapper with a celebrity parent will break, it doesn’t seem relatable enough. Coi Leray was the closest but she used her dad specifically to gain traction by causing beer with him
Tbh a major problem with the underground is a lot of the artist are trash. I’m talking bout some of the poster boys for the UG are trash as hell too. People have to stop promoting just anybody and actually reevaluate whose supposed to be pushed to the forefront and whose supposed to be left behind.
