such a shame how Hollywood destroyed Fred Dekker career. The guy made Night of the Creeps, Monster Squad and wrote House. He should have had more of a run going into the 90s

Thank you. Yeah, I'm aware NIN was going after the LPers. Didn't they drop it though because of the backlash? Still, I'll check out the episode.
I'm glad you like the show and I appreciate you giving it a chance. I think most folks just assume this is another "yelling at movies" show, which it totally isn't. I try really hard to separate this from others out there and do lots and lots of research to dig up as much back story as possible. Thanks for the support!

Met the entire cast at a monster convention once--- the coolest and friendliest group of actors ever. My wife and I met them one by one and they were all very cordial and engaging; you could tell that they were very grateful for the attention of the fans after so many years. We met Lively last and he noticed that the poster we had them all sign and that he was the last--- he asked if we wanted a group photo and without us answering, grabbed the others and brought them over for a group pic. He/they didn't have to do that but were more than willingly to take the time. It was a great experience, perhaps the best I ever had at a meet/greet. I enjoyed the movie before then, but it has now become one of my favs-- partly bc the actors were so cool.

First time I saw this wonderful movie was I woke up in the middle of the night to it playing on TV; the scene where Axe Zombie comes up through the floor and kills the old lady. That terrified the living shit out of me and made me think about the movie every time my parents watched Wheel of Fortune. Years later I saw it again and I loved it, to this day when I recommend a good horror movie I recommend Night of the Creeps. It's got everything; zombies, serial killers, aliens, zombie serial killers, zombie making alien worms, zombie alien-infested dogs, badass grizzled/tortured cop, side characters that you can care about and uh, I can't think of anything else. I love this movie!

lol excellent catch! Unfortunately I was under a severe time crunch this week and had to cut a lot of material. I had a whole thing about how the whole film is filled with references to famous horror or sci-fi directors. Cynthia Cronenberg (David Cronenberg), Ray Cameron (James Cameron), Corman University (Roger Corman) and tons more.
Oh well, such is the life of a one man show.

Its been awhile since I saw this movie but what I remember most was the relationship between Chris and J.C. Originally I just glanced over the movie while dropping some tidbits about the behind the scenes here and there. After a while, I decided to change the structure to go through the movie, as it gave me more space to put in comedy. I also split it into two sections, the first part is the breakdown and the back end is the behind the scenes. The audience was much more receptive to this style, so I kept with it. (while making minor tweaks here and there as I go on, to keep it fresh)

Yeah, the studio screwed him over. Robocop 3 was a no win situation, too many producers meddling with it and ended up making changes that screwed the whole movie over and then blamed it on Dekker. I hope he gets another shot because he still could and should be making excellent original movies.

Love the review, except Detective Cameron didn't call over Chris. More like he invited him over to his house after following him and Cynthia and overhearing their conversation, waiting for her to leave to approach him. Great review.

This film is awesome I watched on Halloween one night mostly thanks to your in depth review of it I consider it one of the great horror movies of all time. Also Tom Atkins is always great in almost every horror movie he is in, or non horror movies.

My roommates and I watched this movie in college (on VHS, as it was the 80's). For months afterwards, we answered the phone by saying "Thrill me". 😊

Awesome job with the review on one of my all time faves. Night Of The Creeps is both original, scary, and loads of fun. Tom Atkins is in fine form here, and the directing is top notch. The only issue for me is the ending..It really sucks that Fred Dekker's career didn't take off..I mean after this he did the excellent Monster Squad..but then he did RoboCop 3..and he was history. I thought he was one of the best at blending humor and horror on film, and this film is a great example of that.

This was one of my first horror movies. When I was 6, there was a local station that still played the old late night horror flicks on Saturday nights. One summer night, my dad let me watch this with and man did it scare the crap out of me. (still loved it though)
Sadly the station shut down a few years later.

Ever since I saw the poster for Slither, I remembered sparse glimpses of a movie that I saw part of when I was young. It left such an impression that every so often I would Google details that might get me the title. Now I know, and I can watch the whole movie! Thank you for this video. Oh, and I was led here by your The Hidden video.
