EvoTech Packaging Disclaimer As usual, my overall reviews remain unbiased and I genuinely share my thoughts and experiences with any product I unbox/install here at MotovationUSA. Prior to finalizing this video and if you watched through the end, I shared constructive feedback to EvoTech regarding their packaging. After learning why they take a minimal approach regarding packaging, it is admirable to learn EvoTech’s concern for our planet as their main reason for going green and minimalist approach. Again, thank you all for watching.
I’ve always been pretty hands on when it comes to bikes. The problem is that, I usually just want to ride during the peak season instead of wrenching. Always appreciate you watching.
You’d think with how much a bike like the V4S costs, this things would already come with instead of you breaking down the bike to install but mad props to you mah dude for doing that urself. Very informative video 👍👍
These safety mods are pretty standard stuff. Our videos gives you glimpse to what go down in the back end. No manufacturer includes these thing, I guess it’s the norm. Joey, thank you for watching. Hit that Thumbs Up to help with the algorithm. 🙂
Good stuff, man! But I tell you: nothing is scarier than hammering that engine bolt out of a Monster when installing the frame sliders, LOL! That ish had me on pins and needles the first time I did it! Glad to see that its mostly fairing that you have to get out of the way for this one.
The best way to wrap your head around it is to think layering. Pealing each layer back until you get to where you need to be. I’m glad you enjoyed the vide. Subscribe and hit that Thumbs Up up to help the channel grow.
Nice video and thanks for sharing. BTW, I would encourage manufacturers to use such packaging materials honestly. Way less plastic and Styrofoam stuff.
Dude, you need to get yourself an extension (with knurled finish) for your socket. Keeps the swinging ratchet MUCH further away from your painted surfaces. Added bonus is that it gives you something longer to work your fingers on when finger tightening bits. Also gets your hands out of the way of the camera 👌
Great video and it has sold me on a pair, once I can afford to pick up a set I am! Nice little insight on not having to remove the plastic part completely. What exact type of grease did you use on the bolts? Thanks again 👍🏽👍🏽✌🏽
Hello friend. Please, after changing the oil, does the OIL SERVICE message disappear automatically or not? Is it necessary to take the motorcycle to a dealership to delete the message? Thank you very much. A big hug. Marcelo
Hey buddy I enjoyed watching your video...I have a question I have a 2009 kawasaki vulcan 750 and for some apparent reason they dnt sell crashbar or engine bars for this bike..what do I do next??
The other feedback I would give to evotech is their instructions. We are paying top £ ($ in your case) and we get crappy instructions. It’s not like they have to print them. Add some proper pictures or videos since they are all digital
For these frame sliders, there is a downloadable 50 page PDF provided by Evotech on the product page. Installation is step-by-step with photos. What is missing from the instructions that we can add?
@@MotovationUSA don’t get me wrong the instructions for the sliders were ok. You have torque setting and everything which was really helpful and I cannot fault the quality of your products. I just think some clear pictures would be better?
I need the same video for a 2021/2022 Aprilia Tuono 660. I have a very hard time understanding the hand-drawn like schematics in the manual. Does anyone know of any guide with pics or videos?
Perhaps good for a tip-over , but questionable that these sliders would hold up to the kinetic energy of a spill or slide from speed, the upper part of the bolt/connection point looks like the weak point. ??
Never forget that a slider is a sacrificial piece. They are designed to promote the slide and grind away as they do. They are not a piece that will bolt onto your motorcycle and protect it from any harm that could befall the machine. If you crash, your motorcycle will probably be damaged. These, and all sliders are meant to limit the damage.
Quick question .... I see the frame where the frame sliders bolt in and it looks like some kind of composite, my question is if the bike crashes would they crack the frame .. that frame looks so fragile like plastic
If you are referring to the black cast frame segment, that is not a plastic piece but instead a cast finished aluminum. The frame sliders are designed to be a sacrificial piece that translates blunt force into sliding force through the use of the Delrin puck.
Thank you for watching and chiming in. Going by the EvoTech Performance instruction manual, they specify 12Nm for the top and 100Nm for the engine bolt. Check out the official .pdf on the site. You’re also right. The OEM bolt was torque to 90Nm. Subscribe and hit that Thumbs Up to help the channel grow.
Totally agree, they do produce amazing quality products. Hopefully this video clear things up a bit regarding the installation process. Thank you for watching. Subscribe and hit the Thumbs Up to help the channel grow. 🙂🙌🏽
Do not install this type of slider on your bike. In an event of a fall the slider will bend and it will put enough flex on the frame that its attached to causing the frame to crack. Once that happens your bike is a statutory write off. My friend found out the hard way now his 2023 v4 streetfighter is a paperweight.
Obviously every crash is unique, but I saw a frame slider do it's work this last week here at a COTA track day. While the '18 Panigale V4 S was not free from damage, the slider took the brunt of the slide and promoted the slide instead of having the bike start flipping.

Ordered and installed these frame sliders and front axle sliders from you recently. Thank you for the great install videos.
Unbelievable how something that small can protect the heart of the bike. Another great video brother! You’ve becomea pro Moto mechanic dude.

We dig that too!

Evotech instructions are awful, I would have really struggled without your video. Thanks 👌
Must really help your wallet doing these installs yourself A1as usual!🙌🙌
Also, nice seeing your little dog help you out. 😁
Quality is A1!
Thank you 🙏🏽. Good looks for stopping by and checking out the content.

@@MotovationUSA maybe it’s different in the uk. The ones I downloaded were more like drawings or black and white photocopies of pictures than photos?

I need a video for the panigale v4
Can you install it without the nylon/rubber washer?
Great video! Where did you get the black side radiator covers??
Hey Calvin!
The radiator covers are wrapped in matte black film.

environmentally friendly packaging... actually an awesome thing! Way too much plastic waste in the world already..
Are those feed on the V4S

@MotovationUSA Thanks for the reply 🙏.. By the way, you guys have outstanding customer service! Jacob's is an asset to that company!
Jacob is pretty all right for sure! I think we will keep him!
would you suggest to mount both the bobins and the radiator guard in the same time?
Any time you have body panels off and are working in the area, go ahead and do what you can while you are in there.
@@MotovationUSA thanks for your reply mate, sorry I missed it before but really appreciated!
First view 😍

Personal experience 90nM also. Broke an adaptor at 100

I've ever heard this too. Does that even happen when it's just dropped simply? Why the frame is so weak?
Do you have any other recommendations?
i wouldn't recommend.. at a small bike fall maybe you need to replace the frame. Been there, done that. And hurts...
