We cannot change our destiny one nano bit. Ref Ramana Maharshi. Also modern scientific experiments tell the same thing. Freewill is an illusion. We can use the illusion to "change" ourselves. Actually it's quite complicated. And there's no freewill. Our thoughts and reactions create our destiny. And only there lies our freewill and not in the world outside.
Okay, from him it means your horoscope is not going to change ever, what I believe as a astrologer that you should also see for vastu dosh in your house and do remedies before hand and should not wait for your horoscope to go wrong because till the time your horoscope is doing well vastu will not affect you much may be little bit here and there but as the horoscope moves to bad side even a smallest of vastu dosh can be a big hurdle in your life. Besides living in a good vastu house make hormany in your mental and physical health as well as spiritual growth too.

I have Ketu debilitated in 4th house. I’m unemployed ever since I came back to my parents house. Both toilet seat and bathroom drain hole falls on the north.

These interventions lie in the able hands of yogis from particular sampradaya/lineages. However, most Astrologers are not aware of this dimension and that makes the science appear toothless.

As regards planting of trees, those who live in cities have various limitations to do that. Various organizations such as Isha do extensive tree plantation.
