I witnessed this in real time🙏🏽 at the time this was the only piece of kudi I knew, never listened to him too much until I found this album and listened to his others. Quickly became one of my favorite rappers and has helped me a lot through his music, so glad I enjoyed this album when it came out, it’s grown on me even more as time has gone by

Last night I had a breakdown listening to this.
Will never be able to explain fully. I take a long time going through Cudi's albums, I listen every song thoroughly until everything is apprehended. Well, last night it was 4 Da Kidz' time.
Broo... it spoke to me in a way a God or a psychologist never were able to. I'm surrounded by people, but feeling ideologically lonely, everyone always says my mind is on the moon, like Scott. The worst thing is that society makes me believe all my dreams slow me down in the path I'm supposed to pursue, a regular path which I don't even desire. A lotta kids feel like I do but we're scattered, unfortunately. I express myself through music in everything I do, that's how I tell my girl I love her, I either write something or show her a song that portrays what I feel. I don't know anyone around me that reads and feels music like me, my dream always was to impact people through it. I have all these music dreams ever since I was a kid, and I never had the self confidence. The only reason I still keep believing is because of this guy right here. He was the light guiding me and a lot of us through life trauma and concealed/opressed depression. I'm a suburbs foster kid who circled families, and even though I have a family now I ended up feeling alone and hopeless towards the future. But somehow, when he said "We won't leave you alone" my eyes started watering. I felt a sense of release and comfort that nobody could provide in my 23 of life. The melody could have not communicated more, the beat fills your chest, and gives you hope itself. I know some of you will get it, most won't.
I just wanna thank Scott Mescudi. For not letting my flame go out. For letting me know I'm not alone, and that I have a place in this world. For sacrificing his life so he could give me and so many us here, the tools to believe in ourselves and pursue what we love, no matter what our inner doubter says. Today I made the decision of not letting anyone get in the way of my dream, not even myself.
And you need to do the same. We're the chosen kids. And we all need to be vehicles for other kids to wake up and not waste their lives living for someone else. That's what Cudi always did, and again, I can't thank you enough bro. Forreal. We never met and yet it's like, you mentored me all this time and I finally broke free. I'm willing to put in the work to grow.
To all my loners, ragers and dreamers, if you feel alone, you're not alone. WE won't leave you alone. Life is a beautiful thing and worth living.

Despite Day N Nite being one of my favorite songs to vibe to growing up, im a fairly new Kid Cudi listener who only recently dove into his music a couple of months ago and I have to say, he is probably the artist i needed in my life rn.
Im 19, just graduated high school last year, and currently lost on where I want my life and future to go, while facing an seemingly endless battle w anxiety and depression.
Dealing w these mental demons take a huge toll on my life but ive been finding a lot of comfort with Kid Cudi's music. His lyrics and their meaning makes me feel heard, understood, and validated. Ive never seen someone be so open to expressing these heavy emotions and thoughts that we share, its very unique and deserves to be praised and appreciated more in the industry.
When people claim that Kid Cudi saved their life, I truly understand why because hes really pulling me through rn. I hope to one day find myself and become the person all the rooters in my life know I can be
I want to see him someday just to let him know how much of an impact hes truly been not only to me but to all of his fans. He's goated man, Im grateful to have finally become a part of his community
