Showing respect to true greatness. Can’t believe the bolts ever wanted to trade him. He’s been our best player since 2009.

they never did want to trade him, only fairweather fans and fans of other teams said that he should be traded after all his injuries. any fan that has been watching his whole career knew that he always came back strong after his injuries

Right up there with Ovi, Gretzky, Howe, Jagr, Messier, Lemieux etc as greatest goal scorer of all time! I have a feeling this won't be the end and players around the NHL will say their congrats as well since only 95 people in the last 105 years have hit this mark and of course his 500th goal is right around the corner too. One of the many guys who I grew up idolizing and still do today as a grown man since I have watched every season of his except his rookie season (2008-2009) since I didn't know what Hockey was until late 2009 lol.

@@MyAlexWest I never said he was getting any younger captain obvious cause your right he's not but he isn't slowing down either when it comes to his productivity you are clearly the one who has the memory of a goldfish cause you say he ain't getting any younger and being ignorant to the fact he's not up there inching close to some of the greatest goal scorer and one of the greatest captains of all time and not realizing the fact that despite his advanced age, he still putting up 40 goals a year. Of course he ain't gone a pass Gretzky hell I don't think he even wants to but he still got it. I bet once he retires he'll probably end with somewhere between 600-650 goals which obviously isn't very far from Gretzky's 894 or Messier's 694 and where some of the all time greats are. And your prolly just saying that cause he's had like 3-4 significant injuries in late 2013, early 2016, late 2016 and early 2020 respectively and my take on that is who cares? Injuries are apart of the game. Some get lucky and avoid them but not everyone does. And yes I am way smarter than you think with playing styles such as goal scorers, playmakers, checkers, enforcers, etc and your just being a narcissist who doesn't realize the greatness in some of the people currently playing and take them for granted instead.
