Wish I would of had these videos twenty years ago! Never too late to build a portfolio. My favorite line "Time in the market is what really pays the bills for us." Couldn't agree more. Thank you Chris I enjoyed your video.
Fantastic summary without hurting my brain as to how you go about determining best in class. And then with links for those seeking more details. Truly appreciate your work and the manner you present the information with zero hype and false promises. Thanks!
Here's the video I've been waiting for, although I miss Paul's youthful enthusiasm, Chris's engineering touch and humble approach is what I appreciate the most. Literally millions worth of a video. With love from Istanbul.
Great discussion Chris. As usual this was an excellent presentation. I appreciate very much all the work you and Daryl do along with Paul at the foundation. I am using much your content to teach my adult kids and grandchildren as well. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Question-Are the "BIC ETF Alternative Recommendations" listed in order of preference or are they just a group of alternatives and it doesn't really matter which one you choose?
I've gone thru all bootcamp videos. Phew! And I'm ready to start managing my accounts, what should I be aware of to avoid losses? What I mean is my retirement and brokerage accounts are already being managed, and if I start moving things, what kinds of expenses could I trigger? And what's a systematic way to go about it slowly? Also, can I manage my own retirement accounts? Somebody told me I couldn't manage my old employer retirement accounts that have been rolled over to these other companies for management. And thank you for all the great information!
Unless there's an urgent need for a mid-cycle change, I update them every two years. The next update will be at the beginning of 2025. Although there are some new funds to consider, I need more performance data before I can evaluate them and draw meaningful conclusions.
Another great video to learn some of the important nuances of successful investing. Thank you! I am curious when the Merriman website will show the updated 2024 BIC ETF recommendations?
When you do your 2 funds for life presentation it would be interesting to get your view of how apply the 2 funds for life concept to a 529. We have Vanguard and they don't offer a small cap value choice to use with their TGF offerings. They offer a value and a small cap. I went with a 3 funds TGF (80%), SC (10%) and Value (10%). I was just guessing.

Awesome as usual. Always learn a lot here.
“Hit carriage return”….I could almost hear the IBM Selectric head slide across. 😂. Great data and presentation, as always!!

Hmmm. For some reason I was expecting an update on the recommended ETFs. Were there any updates in 2024? Avantis has a few new ETFs.
