I walked this route into Burgos in 2018 with my sister. Such great memories of a wonderful Camino. This was a beautiful and peaceful way into the city. Buen Camino!
@@CaminoGuide Thank you for the encouraging words.. hope I will .. can , .. remember to avoid the walk by the Industrial Park around Burgos . I will try to start my The Camino walk in May 2022 ( but I’m also flexible) end up somewhere either at the End Of The world, ( health permitted ) or some where else. Buen Camino ! 🇨🇦
Thanks very much for this, this is a great walk into a big town, leaving the highway path and then following the river for what felt like a few km till a few hundred metres from the cathedral. Watching the video and memorising the key turns made this an easy alternative route ( and much nicer than the routes into and through Pamplona and Logrono). Buen Camino!
Good video to show this more enjoyable route into Burgos. I tried it when I did my first Camino in 2018, but missed the road crossing bit. I found a cut across to the river a few km further down, after stopping to ask a municipal worker who was there. She redirected us through some woods back onto the river trail. If it had been better signposted then we would have got onto the river trail a bit sooner. I was still suffering from shin splint injury by that point, so I spent a good 20 minutes with my legs in the cold water of the river Arlanzón.
I am sure I would have messed this up if I didn’t have GPS on my app. I hope the video helps people stay on the path! I was just wanting to be done that day or I would have loved some river time.
This video was just made last July (2021). It’s highly unlikely that the turn off is marked. Use the video for that. There are a fair amount of arrows after that.
Oh I was definitely limping. I actually limp all the way through every Camino because of the blisters. I had at least 4-5 blisters by the point when I made this video!
