I thinks Konami didn't have enough time to build smooth animations. The game prototype on PS2 dates just 2 months before the actual release and it didn't have much stuff, including performance animations.

The footage with Casey wearing a mask was borrowed from a walkthrough I found on the net. Regarding Slashuur, I have no idea how to get them. I didn't find any excessive lists of cheat codes to try different outfits.
