Shotin Play You're pretty good with shading, the hair on your characters is a little too close to it's scalp and I think you need to work on your face proportions, but I'm not really that good myself. Check my pic out at this link: www.pinterest.com/pin/558798266238174165/

I'm still having a lot of troubles when drawing hair, I cannot get that natural curved flow of the hair, it always ends up looking like my drawings have knives in their head. :/

Part of the reason he's soo good is because he knows all of the tricks and tips to do everything.. something that takes lots of practice and repition. thats why i love him
how do you draw so small but so detailed? Whenever i draw manga, it always takes up most of the page. A video or tips proportion control would help.

Alexandria Henry This may be a little late, but I think you'd have better luck by drawing with a sharpened pencil with a hard lead, because it creates nice crisp lines. Also, mechanical pencils with 2B leads are good too!

This is really a good video. You shade a lot, put a lot shadow on to your drawings, and also have detail behind the outlines you've marked on your picture. This is really helping me with my characters that I struggle with. Thanks Mark. :)

Hey, I've been drawing since I was really little. What I did was just buy copious amounts of sketchbooks and practice like crazy, then entered some of my best in my school's art contest. I've placed 1st or 2nd every time, and am one of the best artists in my school!

These videos are helping me a lot and I did not know book 2 was released so I'll be getting it soon. I was also surprised when you used an eraser because out of around 15 videos I've watched this is the first you used one.

Mine too. Last year they didn't do a very good job of telling when the art contest was, and when I found out that the deadline was the week before I asked if I still could, and they took mine. And I got 2nd.

one word... TALENT
i dont know what he uses but i use staedlier pigment liners, and sometimes an 8B pencil, you can get those at micheals, hobby lobby, staples, and AC moore.
