They were going to use it at first but because of her pronunciation wasn’t as clear, Square Enix decided that another voice would be better for the English version. When they found Jade, they also liked that her voice wasn’t as deep as Koda Kumi’s.
i never knew koda kumi has this version. thank you so much for uploading this. But the font and it's color seems bad. I'm sorry to tell. Can i request you remake this one with a more simple but readable font like the video same with this but not complete. White colored font was used and it is so good to read it. More power. I'll be waiting.

Her deep voice gives this song such a calming, although still bittersweet feel.
Best version out there. This made me cry back in the day and almost 20 years later is doing it again.

love the voice but koda should just stick with Japanese.
the lyrics and the accent doesn't fit the instrumental at all but the vocals are way more powerful, even if her voice cracks on the verses xD
Her voices is like that in Japanese, too if you listen really carefully.
I do love this song but Koda has some of the worst pronunciation I've ever heard.
