    You are awesome! Thank you for the vids. I've been playing trombone for 35 years. Rhythm is everything; I practice everything with a metronome.

    Wherein I dust off my bone, after a break over the new year, clean/lube the slide and get back into it.
    Looking forward to the next lessons! Great Stuff Shawn.

    Great tips!
    I agree that rythm is fundamental to great improvisations. You demonstrated it in a simple and easy to grasp manner.

    Can't wait to see the next one. Such a big mind opener and perfect way to fix struggling insecureness. Like it so much! Thanks a lot for providing us with your way of thinking!
    Combining your exercises with my favourite tunes and practise with just the 3rds and the seventh of each chord is mind-blowing!

    Thank you! I'm getting back into playing my horn. I focused on jazz improv in my lessons in college, but I never focused on the rhythm aspect like this! I am happy to add another tool in my tool kit to help me become a better musician. Do you also have videos on improving tone and sound on the trombone? That was another area I have always struggled with.

      Hey Caleb! Thanks for checking out he channel. I released a video last fall about some sound stuff that you might find interesting. It is a pretty specific practice strategy, but I do think it is effective. I put the link below.

    What‘s the phrase you are closing with? „See you at the ??? end“?

      @ShawnBellMusic  2 года назад +1

      "see you in the woodshed". Basically "see you in the practice room".

    I beg to differ, I bet you are a great dancer. If you have rhythm, you can be. How dare you say “by any means” 😂
