You forgot to talk about the tank: made by an SS prisoner in Austria, exchanged for whatever to a French guard (my great uncle, FFI troups, former resistant who killed and buried some bodies in the Haute Savoie forests).
As fort the helmet, blood sprayed (speed phenomenon)= brutal impact around the face.

Formed in Slovenia ( part of Kingdom of Yugoslavia )from n a zz i colaborators ,maybe "domobrans"
Many of them lose their lifes in eastern front.
They belonged to SS because all of them was volunteers and hard right nationalist,same as "ustashe" in croatia.
No, these men were mostly from the Munich area and they were later sent to France.

But on the film is written that the unit was formed in Slovenia. All unit that was formed in the ocupied parts of Kingdom of Yugoslavia was under SS comand
,like SS Handzar division from Bosnia made of musslims an croats .
They all were perished on the east front but made many atrocities on balkans
