Just got done converting my 26hp efi to carb after the ecu took a crap. I couldn’t be happier with my setup runs amazing and really not hard to do! Thanks for the info and help!
Hey Brent's lawn care a nother awesome videos with the wife u definitely my favorite RUclipsr ever i Can't wait to mow lawn again soon there is only 28 days until spring
Good morning, Brandon, Ranae and Little Brandon! Great video! I have some projects to finish up before I dig into an old riding mower and get it ready to sell. Your videos give me hope that I'll be able to do my mechanical repairs on a small engine. Cars I'm good with; small engine stuff, eh, not so much, but I'm getting there! Thanks for sharing ANOTHER awesome video. God bless.
Sounds good, wanted to mention a couple of things for the final assembly… I would use a worm clamp on the output side of the fuel pump. Also didn’t see a fuel filter. Also the upper tins are very important to help circulate the air around the cylinder heads so I’m sure you didn’t heat it up that much. I do have a clean seat with no rips on that parts mower still if you want it. Unless you plan to go comfort seat. After hearing the new prices of Walkers continue to increase I see a lot of value in these older machines. I’m considering buying a half dozen at a time to refurbish each winter. But hopefully parts don’t get too rediculous.
Your right on everything you said. Restoring these older machines is absolutely the way to go in my opinion. Buying a brand new walker is just way out of my league.
Sounds like a Kohler. Are you all not a fan of EFIs? If not, would you want to say why? I have hardly any experience with the EFI, the only I’ve ever had is on my Walker B and I just bought it last summer. I’ve been advised to stay away from them because of extra wiring, etc. Your thoughts? Good job on your mechanics!
Thanks Tony! I don’t like efi because you are a slave to the dealer when something goes wrong. Carbs are easy and there’s not much to go wrong with them
Hey just a thought but they preset those carburetors to run so lean because of emissions that they won’t run very good without the air cleaner on. I’m sure you know that though.
Why didn't you keep it EFI? EFI is better though right? No needing to clean carbs engine runs smoother. And I just bought a walker 48" 26hp with a kohler CH26 EFI and it runs alright but it's running super rich like when I Rev it up it black smokes a bit and set the carbon minoxide alarm off in my garage can you help me get her going good idk what's wrong with it
Unfortunately I can’t work on anything right now because our season just started and I’m extremely busy. If it’s running rich , it will most likely need to go to the dealer and have them look at it.
Nice job Brandon. Glad to see the rebuild is coming along well. Can't wait to see it all done and ready to mow. Did you figure out what you are doing with the trailer axels? Mowing season is coming quick. See you on the next one.
Enjoy you little one when there still little. Good video.

Nice work!
Pretty straight foreword? Thinking about buying an 01 edition with no engine. But I have a carb engine at the house.
Please tell me what I need to know to do the same conversion. I have the Kohler 26hp efi that has no spark now.
Love it! It’s great seeing all the work you’ve been doing! Spring is coming!
Can’t wait!
Good job

Fuel consumption is way better on the EFI models. But, I think if my efi took a crap I would just convert to carb. I’ve had both. I prefer efi.
Great video! You’re looking good too. What’s your secret with the weight loss? Nice work.
Thanks! Just been trying to eat clean and stay off the junk food. It’s definitely not easy!

Yes, you are correct.

Yes I did. I have a new video I’m working on that will be out soon and you will see what we did to the axles
Why would you get rid of efi?
You become a slave to the dealer when something goes wrong with it
EFI 🤬😡carb 👍😎
Just keep all the old carbs
