If the child is actually 100% interested in doing it then that is okay. But theres so many pushy parents who are happy to see their child unhappy doing something the parent wishes they could have done. Its actually quite pathetic.
It's also a form of narcissism, my mum was the same. She wanted me to be a millionaire, be a supermodel or actress, some very unrealistic things like that, just so she could retire early and do nothing. Didn't and never would have worked out that way. She was in a fantasy world.
No it's not fair. But I do have dreams for my child, wishes and things I help her push to get. I think it's more about having goals for them. But not living you dreams through them, but David Beckham wasn't forced to play. He was good, and his dad had the connections and skill.
No but I’m gonna also say to those of you who’s sole reason for having kids is “I’ll need someone to take care of me when I’m old!” Get stuffed! If the kid wants to then that’s up to them but they have their own lives to live and they don’t owe you that! See way to many morons using that one when people say they don’t want kids. It’s a terrible, selfish reason to have a child.
