You'll get there soon bro. If you are open to any collaborations then let's talk. I don't do RUclips and I don't do content. But I am a security engineer and I'll be happy to help you with info that you need about this industry. There's a lot of misinformation about cyber security as a career option and I am trying to dispel those misconceptions.
There's always a shortage of skilled computer science engineers/scientists. I am struggling to hire seniors for my team. It took us 10 months to hire security researchers for a 2 year experience requirement role. A lot of candidates lie or apply blindly, some try to cheat, some have real skills. I am sharing this opinion after interviewing several people ranging from 0 to 15 years experience in a product based security company. We build security products that are used by Fortune 500 and even Governments. I've talked to other teams and they always complain about lack of human resource. Also, how hard it is to hire and retain talented engineers. But one opinion that I have is that - do not think of CSE as some kind of golden goose. It is just ONE of the skills in your tool belt. With advancement in AI, I think we'll see hybrid skills in future. A doctor who can write custom software for analyzing diseases faster than they could do manually or maybe an artist turning their art into a small video or a game. Future will not be about single skill expertise but rather multiple domains accelerated by AI. Or at least, this is what I think.
