- Ed's been a part of skating in pretty much every capacity: Pro skater, filmer, photographer, artist, company owner, and driving the damn van. Here's to three decades. Matt Bennett introduces a 1996 Toy Machine classic.
One of the best parts ever music and skating mesh together so well..
I watch this video literally once a month, everything about this is great! Style, tricks and the song are fucking filthy! The back feeble to fakie and the song switches up melts my face every time.
Boys I remember this well! VHS baby. Ed was always my favorite. In fact, now that I’m an old man I’ve bought some of his art! Thanks for the memories!
me too bro, he've been my motivation for so long
thanks skate and ed
Only saw this video a year or 2 ago and I can’t stop coming back to Ed’s part. I really love everything about this part, tricks were sick and the music was great
Cool story bro
@@notimeforjokes.3570 feel better bro lol
I been skating only toy machine boards, and prolly won't stop, they r beyond rad...love the team this was my 3rd video ever back in the day
Stand back while I invent modern skate culture...
yuppp
Then become the Best Photographer…
the fact that he's cooking meat before introducing an Ed video... lol
Thought the same thing! Is he still vegan cuz he looks a lil chunky in recent interviews…. lol
Thats what made me skate... I startet in96 and still doing it thaks to Ed :) I was first to skate in my town... Love that time... Was kicked from every spot, there was maybe few skateparks at that time in my whole country hehe... Love it to this Day... Best Regards from Poland
love the sonic youth song!!!
Man when this video came out in 1996 it changed the game from small wheel low and slow, to big wheel high and fast.
i started skating 25 years ago because of welcome to hell. still my favorite
One of my favorite parts from my all time favorite skate video!
Ed has a classic landing style
2:03 that is what half cabs are supposed to look like.
i wish skating was still like this, i loved being an outlaw on a board. i miss watching skate videos where the skaters would keep the footage of the first one they landed with style. now it seems like every skater wants to keep filming until they get it "perfect". i miss the rugged charging era of skating
+Clark Kent There still are some like that. Check out Magenta's stuff. It's filled with style. Same with the Bronze 56k vids.
yea 90s skateboarding was the best.
just go out and do it. What's holding you back from doing it?
XGames ruined a lot of extreme sports
This is what raw skateboarding looks like
It was released in Summer-Fall 1996, so that would make it 16 years, yeah? This video is so bomb, such a classic.
i love this part it is soo amazing he just goes for it and does it for skateboarding, too many people focus on trying to flip in an out of grinds instead of just skateboarding
A proper grind must be done out with an impossible to madonna grab
This part is short and straight to the point!
what a great filmer for 1996
that fucking ender holds up
I love Matt Bennett! Such a chill bastard.
20 years ago and now people dress like this again haha
at that time no one dressed like ed ............
pioneer of the dickie's flood pant style
Daniel Bird ive been saying this for years!! Him and Ryan sublette are pioneers of that style.
yea but normal people didn't dress like that back then. ED templeton was just the worlds first rockabilly hipster
nate that dude didn't give a singular fuck about rockabilly. Eat more Tide Pods.
I was born on the day this video came out, or so my uncle said when he gave me his copy 4 years ago. I fucking love it though and Ed Templeton one of my inspirations for skateboarding. And THPS2!
That was the sickest part ive ever seen
THIS WHOLE VIDEO SHOULD BE A CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! done
hell yeah! loyal pawn for life!
That BS Feeble to Fakie when the music begins to transition makes me so fucking moist, never seen this video part till a few years ago and can’t believe I had been missing out on this video for so long
Still holds up

front board fakie on that flat rail at the end makes me cry.

Crazy to think that you would probably only get sponsored with a part like this now.

I fuckin love matt b
King of the feebles
He is a very steady filmer, because he ran over the dirt.
smooth ass roller blade step up grind onto the bench
filming has come a long way
He skated to the left side of the bench, held the cam behind the Tempster.
this shit is so fucking raw!!

PS Those spots were holy
The Tempster!
really wondering how that first line got filmed
Dude you have a cool uncle.
Man, Don Draper is a hell of a skater.
held the camera over the bench
Fucking awesome!!
@ 2:01 San Pedro High School.
Daewon is filming.
Sonic Youth - Titanium Expose
👍👍👍👍
song? ive wonder this for years
Obviously it was Spudbud filming while swaggin' on his scooter.
he was probably on the other side of the bench holding the camera on the other side
did the filmer just roll through the dirt @ 1:00 and not even shake?
oh WOW!!!!
That ender tho..
ed is the shit!!
last trick was sexcellent
bigspin out was ridiculous
big wheels, hard ground? seems crazy
