I do that too. But I go one further and tie a largish perfection loop on the leader. You can then do a loop to loop connection to the line and feed the flies and leader through the loop and your fully rigged in seconds. And changing your setup is equally fast.
I must do that myself.... i am far to good at hooking rocks, trees, banks just not Salmon! 🤣 Great advice.. especially for those Donegal rivers where the midges lie in wait if you loiter too long! 😉
Hi Gary, thanks for watching 👍 I just get them on eBay or Amazon. No need to get branded ones as they all do the same thing, just search up foam leader spools or foam rig winders and you will be spoilt for choice in a range of sizes. Hope that helps 🎣

Great top also Charlie 👍 I tie onto a tippet ring that is already tied to polyleader
@@SeánWoodsFishing me too if i have soemthing like a washing line when there's too many flies to feed through the loop.
I get card and cut into discs with slots, wind the leader on with the flies on ready and store several in CD wallets.
That will work too Matt 👍 years ago I also used a hair roller 🙈😂
