When he said that they're friends, I was kinda shock and thought that he made it up and I am indeed correct. I have been watching knowing bros and most of the guest talk about how Hodong act like he didn't know them. I just hope Hodong treat her right after this and not just bussiness
A lil info, Kang Hodong didn't "make it up", actually. To get more context about their funny "friendship" and Sakura's cute but complex mindset when it comes to friendship, try to watch their show together from years ago, "Everyone's Kitchen." It's a very relaxing but also funny show, and with tons of cooking delicious food, and you'll see there that Hodong really took care of Sakura especially since at that time, she still doesn't know much Korean, but their cute natural comedy combination really shone there. This is also where Sakura said that KHD is her very first Korean friend outside IZ*ONE. So when IZ*ONE finally guested on Knowing Bros., the other girls were jokingly saying to KHD about his reputation of being scary to guests but when it comes to Sakura, he's so very kind and caring, to the point where KHD mentions Sakura's name the most more than the other girls and the girls were pointing that out. That episode was really funny (especially Choi Yena's segments) XD Random trivia: When Sakura (and Chaewon) appeared in KB again now as Le Sserafim, Heechul said that Sakura is also like the KHD but in Japan. Anyway, yeah, I also hope KHD would invite Sakura to more variety shows after this, after finding out that Sakura didn't have any other solo variety shows again after Everyone's Kitchen (which was a bit understandable since they were so busy that time in a really packed schedule) and also new viewers seeing that they have a really good comedy chemistry together. (checking NAVER NOW YT channel and this episode has probably the highest views in the channel)
Well i can understand from both sakura and hodong"s point of view. Sakura treats hodong like a real friend, where she expect them to contact each other, congratulate each other for debut/comeback or new programs. But for hodong he maybe treats sakura like a business friendship, where he do take care of sakura but only in programs he's in, because he thinks he's old (old enough to be his father). Mybe after this he will contact her more or invite her more to his programs.
Seeing Kang Ho-dong act this animated is weirding me out lol. This Korean style of youtube videos is like crack for ppl with short attention spans, not a lot of time, or commuting.
