I’m gonna be honest with you…. I sorta skimmed through Feast. There were parts with Brienne in the Riverlands and other bits I can barely remember that I really just couldn’t get interested in. It was rough. The other four books were very good though. Highlight for me are the Jon POV chapters in Dance.
I was confused by some parts of this character’s arc as well (Brienne), but I ended up really enjoying it nonetheless. Jon quickly became my favorite character to read about, and also surprisingly in the 4th and 5th book Cersei. When there’s too much « traveling » going on for some characters I get so lost in their story.
@@Lisa_Lit.erature oh, she loves it, she loves Tyrion the most. I read fire and blood and the first part is kinda slow, but the rest is good. I am planning on reading those tales to my mom too, we're both looking forward to it
@@Lisa_Lit.erature oh yeah, tons 😂 I feel like the narative rythm is off. The POV characters stay passive most of the time. Tyrion, Jon, Sansa, Daenerys, Asha,... they're all stuck in situations where they have to wait on other people to make the decisions. I guess that loss of autonomy is a theme the author wanted to explore, but damn... And then it all pays off in the last few chapters.
That’s the thing though! I don’t feel it pays off enough in the last few chapters, one character only arrives at his « destination » the rest are still « traveling » . I’m like « damn Daenerys get on MOVING, give some proteins to your dragons and let’s gooo »😂
Hi! I never read Song of Ice and Fire but I am eager to enter after the series I am reading currently. I heard a lot of good things along side with complicated things as well, a lot darker and complex then main stream, just like you mentioned. Do you think that It is a worth or more so a must read for a fantasy fan?
Hello! I do think it’s worth it, for the plot and for the characters if anything. Give it a try, you’ll quickly know whether it’s for you! I’ve had friends absolutely loving it and they were not necessarily into fantasy to start with :)
You should consider reading the hedge Knight....its a book about an honourable Knight and his deeds.
It's alot shorter and has many carrots
Gotta love the carrots! Thank you for the recommendation ♥️

@@Lisa_Lit.erature I really liked your video though! I make videos about GOT too. Glad I found your channel! I subbed 👍
Thank you! I’ll make sure to check your channel as well :)
I'm in the middle of reading a dance with dragons to my mother (it's our daily activity together). Did you read fire and blood and all the side tales?
How is she liking it? That’s an adorable activity.
No I haven’t read those! Have you?

I love Tyrion as well, what a character! Sounds like a good plan you have going on 😌
What a coincidence! I've finished DwD 3 days ago. Such a good read
Hi! Cool, then I can ask: No frustration on your end?
