Like your reaction..here is mine to make it simple...To me there is two categories ...Diana ,Dimash are (for me anyway) "Performers who sing"...Angelina Jordan is a.."Singer" ..with a big "S" such has Billie,Ella,Callas ,Janis etc... ,and to me there is a world of difference between this two categories...No need of fancy tricks..just her voice pure and simple..and her true authentic soul...
Being a huge longstanding Soul music fan she touches the spot with practically all the songs she sings, however it is something much deeper than perfection and brilliance it actually reaches the Soul. Great summary in your reaction.

You have Angelina high on your list of great talent and so does Republic Records (UMG) who signed her last October at 14 as a"highest priority" artist. She is a prodigy and has a unique ability to interpret and arrange a song to get you to "feel' the song. She was 12 years and 3 months old here. 6th or 7th grade. PLEASE, see her unbelievable performance on stage with a great jazz orchestra at 10 yo of "FEELING GOOD, Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake". Like you said, even at 10 she sings like a long seasoned adult professional uncanny. She has never sounded like a"child singer". It's just uncanny. Thank you!!!!!!!!
Its not simply about hitting notes and a certain tonality, you dont just jam around with your guitar guy and press "record" and get a piece of gold out of it (as she often did) - unless you're really at master level. Even many commercially succesful singers never reach that level of intuitively understanding and channeling a song. The special thing about this song seems to be that its a real test of stamina. You hit the nail on the head when you said that what makes her voice special is that she sings as if she had 20 years experience. But it goes further than that. Angelina is in your top three or five because she evokes the emotion in your heart through her singing. And the more spectacular thing about that is that she can elicit emotion about events in the song that she has never experienced as she is still a child. It is an anomaly. Taking it one step further, Angelina should jump to your number one of the group you mentioned because of something that makes her special....her persona. Her humanitarian and charitable side stand out amongst almost every singer in her category. The fact that she had given her own shoes to an orphan girl when she was 6 years old, and sings barefoot today as a tribute. The fact that she has donated millions of dollars to children's charities since she won Norway's Got Talent at 8 years old. Her overall humility and giving spirit make her stand out far above just her voice!

My friend, great reaction to our barefoot princess! As great as she is you will discover she is equally as wonderful as a beautiful human being. There is so much for you to hear from her. You referenced your top singers and it's quite a list. I have narrowed my list down to only 2 artists: Angelina and Dimash. Their artistic abilities are off the chart, of course, but, beyond that, what separates them from the rest is they are both genuine, beautiful human beings with so much love in their hearts, so humble, and they care so much for people, particularly children, and will never shy away from doing something to help people. That puts both of them on another plateau.

Hey Johnny, I'm your newest sub. Man, you are a very focused speaker and you have no problem throwing numbers out (3 to 5). As you may know, AJ is very altruistic and, for me, that is an important part of what attracts me to her but I do not think that should play a part when judging talent. What does impact the art that a singer creates are the interpretations and arrangement of their songs. While AJ does play several instruments, she is not known to be an exceptional instrument player (yet) but I think an incredible singer who does have an exceptional talent playing an instrument - well, it raises their stock in my eyes. Along with AJ, there is an amazing group of young artists coming out. I connect with AJ much more than anyone else but this sure is an incredible time in musical history.

She was involved in the arrangement of all 134 covers and not only instrumental in the lyrics,but also the composition of the music of her originals, 5 of them. She is the only artist that every word she sings has a beginning and an end, at least 2 syllables, no other artist can do that. It's just my opinion, but I place Angelina above the 3 others you mentioned. Actually, I have no idea who the girl on the bottom is. I think Diana and Dimash are good 'singers', but again, just my opinion, no one sings with the feeling or emotion that Angelina does.

What drives home how young she is are her hands: They are at the awkward stage where hands and feet have take a jump on a 13, 14 or 15 year old body and are truly out of proportion. Like all teenagers, she will eventually grow into her hands and feet, but I have always (being an old fart) found this stage hilarious with my own children and grandchildren! There is always a stage when the poor little things are adorably clumsy handling these suddenly oversized appendages...

I think everyone on her team including the record company (Republic Records), slows down a bit with marketing her. She is so good anyway, so she can not be ignored. She delivers music that lasts, and not music that lasts for a few weeks as plastic hit. Angelina has over 600 Million Views on RUclips and over 2 Billion Views on Facebook overall on her videos. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the Age of 8, and has been producing masterclass level vocals ever since. The only and regular marketing is done by the fans via RUclips. All the important top personalities in the western music industry know who she is and what she can do. In just a few years I know that we will see great things from Angelina.

You referenced your top singers and it's quite a list. I have narrowed my list down to only 2 artists: Angelina and Dimash. Their artistic abilities are off the chart, of course, but, beyond that, what separates them from the rest is they are both genuine, beautiful human beings with so much love in their hearts, so humble, and they care so much for people, particularly children, and will never shy away from doing something to help people. That puts both of them on another plateau.

Hey Johnny, I'm your newest sub. Man, you are a very focused speaker and you have no problem throwing numbers out (3 to 5). As you may know, AJ is very altruistic and, for me, that is an important part of what attracts me to her but I do not think that should play a part when judging talent. What does impact the art that a singer creates are the interpretations and arrangement of their songs. While AJ does play several instruments, she is not known to be an exceptional instrument player (yet) but I think an incredible singer who does have an exceptional talent playing an instrument - well, it raises their stock in my eyes. Along with AJ, there is an amazing group of young artists coming out. I connect with AJ much more than anyone else but this sure is an incredible time in musical history.

Good reaction, if you go down the Angelina Rabbit Hole, she will move to the top of your list! She can pick a song she doesn't know, take few minutes to review it and while reading lyrics off her phone deliver a cover as good as the original if not better! She was involved in the arrangement of all 134 covers and not only instrumental in the lyrics,but also the composition of the music of her originals, 5 of them. She is the only artist that every word she sings has a beginning and an end, at least 2 syllables, no other artist can do that. C heck out Angelina's cover of "I put a spell on you", at Nora Jone's Concert, that she personally asked her to open for her in South Korea. Watch this 11 year old handle 40,000 fans, it's mind boggling! God Bless!
Johnny, happy to see you have discovered AJ aka the Barefoot Princess. IMO she is one of the rare artists that sings to my soul, not just my ears. If you're looking for something more upbeat by her, maybe check out her original song & video 7th Heaven.
It's just my opinion, but I place Angelina above the 3 others you mentioned. Actually, I have no idea who the girl on the bottom is. I think Diana and Dimash are good 'singers', but again, just my opinion, no one sings with the feeling or emotion that Angelina does.

What drives home how young she is are her hands: They are at the awkward stage where hands and feet have take a jump on a 13, 14 or 15 year old body and are truly out of proportion. Like all teenagers, she will eventually grow into her hands and feet, but I have always (being an old fart) found this stage hilarious with my own children and grandchildren! There is always a stage when the poor little things are adorably clumsy handling these suddenly oversized appendages...
