- Elvis Presley was a known gun collector, so what better gift for the King during the bicentennial than a revolver loaded with patriotic pizzazz?
This Smith & Wesson Model 53 was made as a gift for the King and factory engraved by Smith & Wesson master engraver Russel Smith. Much of the original documentation still accompanies Elvis' revolver including the original order slip, photographs, and even Smith's pencil drawing which planned the proposed engraving and precious metal inlays.

That pistol used to hang at the 76 truckstop in Reno in their display case. I wonder if that’s the same collector that’s selling it now.
Sure looks the same as I remember it. Sold for $180k. wow.
I grew up in El Cajon, CA in the San Diego area. I used to go to Hirams all the time. What I remember most is how they had a large collection of single action army revolvers and a military Sharps carbine that looked brand new. It was a cool little gun shop
Hail to the king babay!
I wish they still made long barrels on revolvers!
Come to the UK, we can only have long barrelled revolvers 😢

This post is "fake news." Elvis didn't record Revolver, the Beatles did.
