if you ask a musician they say more specific things like practice with a metronome, take private lessons, play in groups, etc. instead of "they just spend time playing their instrument". I was looking for an answer more like that.

shibbyfoo929 Well.. programming languages don't usually require much but understanding them, you can practice them (and get good at them) by taking extra lessons, coding programs, watching people make their own code/script, tutorials..etc.
Now i can't say my answer is the best in the world, but i have a little experience with coding so i guess i will take it.
