A good quick explanation of what can be a very complicated subject. Love that you didn’t shut down the shop to film this video and you hardly flinched when someone fired up the impact gun. Will we see a video about your thoughts on the Bravo4 boat you ordered?
So if I have an aluminum hole houseboat and it does not have any motor components, it is more of a floating home type situation. Do I still need Ann on the vessel and if so, can they just be hung off the side or is that not suggested?
We run these small engines in a freshwater tank after every use, as recommended by the manufacturers. And later they are left outside , exposed to atmosphere. I observe that the tail anode of suzuki 6hp continues to detoriate. Is that why they use aluminum anodes, to protect the engine outside (no saltwater) as well?

heavy water and uranium hulls beg to differ.
Do jet ski's have anodes? I have a 2019 Kawasaki Ultra that I bought used and noticed some light pitting near the nozzle area.

Are you close to any steel in the water close by? Docks?
Zinc anodes also are not used in freshwater because they tend to passivate.
Yes, that is correct 👍

Is there any difference between a oem anode and , lets say, a suzuki anode?
(with same material, shape & size)
I think what you may be asking is if there is a difference between OEM and aftermarket? There should not be any significant difference, in our opinion
@@boatinglessons thank you
My anodes are literally dust within days where I dock in the miami river idk wtf is going on
Aluminum hull, no propulsion… still need anodes??
If there are no other metals near by (steel docks, other), then not likely
