Very cool! Thanks for this video. I've been growing organically in soil, but I wanted to try to grow vegetables indoors during winter months. This system is inspiring!
Nice work, very nice realization. Just a little advice, I noticed that you used the same TDS/EC as me, but you have to be careful... when a friend lent me his professional brand tester, I noticed that there was a big difference (always lower). For example, when my tester indicated 1.2EC the branded tester indicated 1.5EC. I saw on the video that yours can be calibrated, but not mine.
Wow es impresionante, anote cada uno de los materiales para empezar a hacerlo mañana mismo,me encantó ,espero tener éxito en este nuevo proyecto, gracias por compartir.
Could you take out the wicking system and allow the solution to fall into the net pots directly or would the solution not spread evenly enough throughout the system? In any case, you have done a great job!
Tôi là người VietNam đã xem video của bạn đúng là người nước ngoài rất tuyệt vời bạn dạy quá dể hiểu, tôi xem trong đất nước tôi không thể nào làm được, tôi chúc bạn thành công cảm ơn bạn
you cannot dismantle it , so , to clean it ,you would have to remove all the pots ,put the system horizontal and with a jet clean the pipes .This can be done only outdoor. For indoor , the first vertical pipe , the first joint distal to the connector don't apply the glue, so the system can be dismantled and the water will not leak when its functioning. For topping up as someone suggested , put a T and a plug elbow.
Actually, if you don’t glue the vertical towers to the base you could remove the 4 towers when it’s time to clean or change water, and simply dump out the water in reservoir, but turning it upside down.
This is such a clean setup you'd think it was a store bought kit, great stuff man i'm building this as soon as we can leave the house after lockdown in Melbourne haha
Hello @ Petanikota87 I have made the vertical hydroponics just as you have showed us. I am facing 2 problems 1. There is a leakage problem although I have placed rings to some of the holes. 2. What is the frequency of watering the plant Is there any group who are doing vertical hydroponics so that I could join. Thanks in advance
Great video, I am trying to find 4" cap inlet like your in the US, but they don't have it. There is 4" cap but it covers the outer layer but not inside the pipe, unfortunately.
Hello, how many times a day is water given to lettuce in vertical hydroponics? Is night different from day? How much time is it watered per hour or is watering continuous throughout the day? Thank you.
I’m looking ways to save mo ey in the long run, does this system just cycle the same water round and round? How much water does it use to grow a lettuce? We pay for water so it needs to cost less than water bills!!
Just as a matter of curiousity - do you run this with a timer, using a 5 minutes on, 15 minutes off watering cycle? I know that would technically make this aeroponics rather than just hydroponic. I would have thought that giving the roots time to absorb nutrients before running the water again made sense. You may be doing this, however I didn't see a timer being put on the pump in the video.
Where to get the supplies like your tower PVC pipes already has inclined holes which are molded at inclination. What is the cost approximately to buy. Do you sell the kit.
I built this after watching his video. It cost approx $300 for all materials and pump. This doesn’t include the cost of minerals etc for plant nourishment
I use similar pump, about 800 L/h, DC 12V. The advantage you can use battery backup when electricity down also good for solar panel + battery powered. The pump is not always on but on and off like 5 minutes on 3 minutes off.
@@oggysden3806 just connect your dc pump to your solar panel system regulated dc load, about solar panel system you should learn the system, there area many videos about solar systems. you can find and buy a simple solar kit to start.
I’m new to this maybe it’s asked already but do you plant the seed in dirt beforehand to grow then place it into what looks like a sponge and what’s that hanging from the end is that to sponge the water looks like that green scrub pad like this to be explained also someone speaking these steps on video instead of music thanks I’m still looking for that type of hearing videos thanks nice idea tho kudos
What kind of pvc pipe are you using sir? Because the one that I used is orange and it's so bad it's tears so much the holes are not as good as this one
Cut strips of Levis will work. I think any cut material tied through the bottom of cups would do. I wouldn't think you need these if your plants already have roots. I'm building some of these myself.
I have pieced together a parts list for this project. Perfect for my space. I am having a hard time finding a pump like that. Can someone give a clue where to locate it? Here is the part list I was able to derive from the videos. Comment/correct as you see fit. Perhaps I missed something. I dont understand why the 5-way is 3/4" but the pipes connecting to it are 1/2". PVC pipe 4 inch 1 meter x4 PVC pipe 4"x4" x4 PVC pipe 4"x5" x2 PVC pipe 4"x12" x5 PVC pipe 1 1/2 inch (for punching and making a ring in the pipe hole) Pipe connector (L 4" x4, T 4" x3, pipe socket 4" x4) Pipe Cap 4" x5 mini water pump - 12vdc 800 L/h PVC threaded socket female 1/2" 3/4" 5 way cross fitting connector 3/4" to 1/2" reducer x5 1/2" L x4 1/2" PVC pipe 8" x4 1/2" PVC pipe 6cm (2.5) x9 (4x drilled with spray holes) 1/2" end cap x4 1/2" PVC pipe 1.5m
Thank you for this list! I found the pump itself, but it’s not wired. Have you found one with the end already connected or where did you find the connector?
El sistema se ve inspirador pero lo qie no me queda clare es si se debe de tener conectado constantemente el motor a la electricidad o hay que desconectarlo cada cierto periodo de tiempo. 🙄

I love that you are making 1 pump work for several towers. 👌🏾👌🏾
Hey mate, really like your videos. You should consider using silicon to fill the leaks in. Keep these coming!!
I think you just saved the planet! Great vid! Cheers from Denver
So awesome. Add an tee and a 90 degree elbow at the middle pipe and you could have a place to add nutrient water without removing the pump.
O
Just remove one of the grow cups and add there.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing a very clear video tutorial. You've gained another follower.

Mantap peralatan hidroponik ini, membutuhkan biaya yang tinggi. Salam sehat semangat berkarya
Like your system, going to simplify it and make it solar, thanks for the inspiration .
This is the best I have seen.... You have nailed it.

does the pump work 24/7 ? or is there a programmable clock? if so what is the timing ?
does each plant have a different timing?
thanks you so much

how did you make holes so perfect

Do you have any issue with water flow being uneven? I’m thinking a valve on each branch to be sure each tower gets water.
I have this issue, uneven flow, 1 pipe gets almost no flow and a 2nd pipe gets partial flow. Did getting valves help?
Great vídeo, does the water needs to be replaced? Over what period of time if it does?
When it becomes elementally unbalanced. As a rule of thumb, when you`ve added back the same amount of plain water as the original solution volume.
hello thax for your effort, can u mak a video (Vertical Hydroponic System using 4 Towers) please
i this method , should we continuously supply water to the plants, or for some particular time period wee need to supply water?

excelente felicitaciones y gracias por mostrar tus videos
How did the pump work out? It it last very long before it burned out?
Great work 👌 I am impressed.
Curiously, when you begin with seed, is it in soil?
And
Could it be rooted from the cutting to continue?
It looks like the lettuce is in rockwool, which is a common substrate for hydroponics
Just as a matter of curiousity - do you run this with a timer, using a 5 minutes on, 15 minutes off watering cycle? I know that would technically make this aeroponics rather than just hydroponic. I want to know more about how to make seedlings and what kind of sponge is this What kind of plants are grown in these towers

The sponge is a rockwool cube. The thing that is hanging is a wick, most likely cut from a piece of capillary mat :)
1:28 can you find a pump that already has the connector on it? I’m struggling to find the connector itself
Where did you get the baskets to put the seedlings in
what nutrients , nitrats do you put in the water`?
Tanya dong, dulu pertama mulai "berani" kesulitan gak mau diapain hasil panen nya?
How long do you run the water? You don't want to waterlog or dry out the roots, correct?
What happens when the lettuce is harvested -- how do you "refill" it without having to purchase more lettuce seedling things? Thank you
Most lettuce will regrow from root if leaves cut about an inch above.

How many cm measure the planting hole?
Amazing garden. Super like for your sharing 🌹🌹🌹💞
Maybe add a link to the part 1 video to the description.
Can a solar water pump be used?
please give a video after full growth and how much time it take thanks
Your previous excellent video you are using 3" inch, any reason for using 4" instead of 3".. thx.. great job btw..
4" allows more spacing between plants. Remember your plants will GROW! Also, the tower is more rigid with the 4" pipe.
Can you please let me know how many hours per day should the motor that pumps up water be running ?
How to keep water colder? I am in Hawaii, water gets to hot.
Chiller is very expensive
Do you leave the water on?
Seper keren banget 👍👍👍
how long can it run without added solution/ water? id love to implement the idea but the bason seems small same style in a triplet would work assuming
Hi, may I know do we need to turn on the water pump 24/7? If not what is the recommended watering hours?
@Entah Siapa I'm new with hydroponic, so I worry it might over water the plants...
@Entah Siapa thx for the reply. So do plants that use hydroponic system need any sunlight like normal soil planting?
I use a timer, on for 14 hours and off for 10 hours
