I knew straight away this wasn’t a genuine W1 when I saw that it had an automatic transmission as the W1’s came only in manual. This car was the last hurrah for Holden back in 2017 before they went defunct. If you wanted a genuine GTSR W1 when they were first introduced and never managed to get one you’d be kicking yourself as they have now doubled and even tripled in price since launch. The general public complained about “why would you pay 100k for a Commodore” and little did they know how special and iconic this car would be, a quick glance at carsales and you’d see them priced anywhere from 350k-500k whereas a brand new one in schmick condition would set you back at 600k. That is almost priced within european hypercar territory. Only 300 were made as you mentioned in the video and it’s the most powerful Australian built car ever. The original VF series HSV GTS and GTSR both used the Gen IV LSA engine which produced 430kW (435kW for the GTSR) and 740Nm, whereas the GTSR W1 turned things up to 11 by adding in the LS9 engine borrowed from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 it produced a whooping 474kW and 815Nm, HSV claimed that it can do 0-100 in 4.2-4.5 seconds but to achive that you need to be some sort of F1 racing driver because to achieve that without having traction issues and the rear tyres shredding the road was near impossible, you need the perfect road conditions and tyres to achieve those times, but flooring this thing from a roll would snap your neck as it would annihilate you into the back of your seat with its thunderous power.
I knew it wasn’t a legit W1 but was hard for me to tell about being a GTSR it’s a well done rep.. it wasn’t until I seen the cluster again editing that I started to think it wasn’t a GtSR actually 🥲 misunderstanding with the boys as it was not their car but a friends and he wasn’t there

@@iamasmurf1122Neither am I, I can't stand "The Candy Shop" slammed shit which seems to have plagued VE/VF HSV's but I'll still adhere to some form of car guy respect and not shit on another fella's pride and joy. If that is his style, it's his choice.
I seen this car parked at the roundabout that day and I’m sure I seen the rear bumper off it
Definitely not us
Oh yeah the numberplates are definitely from a Gold VX Commodore 😳 definitely shady owner's
yep.. Ross was driving an unregistered car with incorrect plates, maybe even stolen.
VF SS with plates from a Tiga Mica VX SS.. did this guy tell you any truths Ross?
God knows I love my vf-2 but if I ever win the lottery I'm definitely getting a W-1.
Then please let me review a legit one 😂😫
Oh my god he got a W1 in, that's sick as
shiit, that's a bloody good replica
Still a cool rep 🥲
most definitely, fte did a brilliant job 👍👍
Widened fenders?
Got stooged hard there. So many red flags.. it really takes away from a good replica. The lie and the fact it had false plates.. you are so lucky you didn’t get pinged. You’d think a reputable shop wouldn’t do that to you and they would also be aware it’s a fake. It’s either an sv6 or a base model ss, such a damn shame.
The owner of this was not present and middle men where involved so I think it’s just a misunderstanding sadly.. it’s so well done I didn’t even really notice the red flags until editing the video later.. would have been better tho to know right away
Don’t be shy on the right peddle lol. She’s a beast!
It’s the rubber bands that scared me 🤣
His headlining is already falling down 😂
Aussie car problems
This is sick up the road from my house Marsden Park
Awesome place
Hahahaha it was probably an Evoke!
Lol
The Candy shop👍🇦🇺🍻
😍
Say what you want about this car i watched the video again today this car is crazy and beautiful
Correct mate
Does full throttle empire have more legendary Australian cars
Yes
i see youre in marsden park nsw :)
😉🇲🇽
haha, same headliner us poor SS owners have too lol.
Key start? 🚩
I mentioned that red flag but hard to say for sure as a lot was changed to convert the interior I only went with what they told me
This NSW rego show up 2001 VX Commodore gold. Stolen plate and mock-up GTS-R etc. Something not right..........
Seems to be a vf series 1
Seems to be
Has the typical roof sag lol
Wouldn’t be an Aussie vehicle with out it
Man no expense spared..and it shows
Definitely not a cheap mock up
F$&k that sounds mint!! 😮 I really like that.
That whine eh 😮💨
Tricked up VF S1 SS Commo. That’s no HSV……..🤷🏻♂️
Unfortunately looks that way.. but was told otherwise
Yet it’s funny… the market for these things are so red hot these days. some idiot out there with more money than sense will likely still pay between 80-100k for this car. Just for the sake of having what appears to be a GTSR.. fake or not
I knew something was off from the beginning
I'm pretty disappointed the owner lied that it's a GTSR mocked up as a W1 this is a S1 SS such a shame I wouldn't of minded if they said the truth as imo it's big money to own a Genuine GSR let alone a W1 a mock up is the next best thing definitely not a fan of this episode unfortunately not your fault Ross can't wait for the next vid
Unfortunately there were a few moving pieces I guess and once editing I realised it might have been a Gtsr mock up not Gtsr w1 mock up.. still thought it was worth posting rather than scrapping the video
I'm happy you did post it just would of been nice if the owner was honest. I respect the fact the owner went to all that effort to build the car to what it is. Can't wait for the next vid Ross
Its only an SS - no heads up display, no metal pedals, incorrect steering wheel, no push button, incorrect console and trim, wrong cluster... its not even a SSV - Yet alone a SSV redline as the features listed before are all part of a ssv redline.. which also means it does not have any of the good suspension, diff, gearbox ect.. FE3 suspension sway bars... its a great rep.. but advise its a rep
Don't know why you keep saying "one of these" its a mock up, not HSV, not W1, not GTS-R
Sounds great but its just like the 10,000 XY GT's & SL/R 5000's built to look like but not the real deal.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Was told it was a legit GTSR rep W1 at the time of filming and I didn’t notice some of the red flags witch I have mentioned tho still in this video..
It’s a god dam animal 🔥🔥🔥
So nice that sound
I just want to say a big thank you to Ross for reviewing this absolute beast your a legend but I am super disappointed when it comes to the comments i was in the same understanding that the car was a gtsr that was turned into a w1 rep the car is not Full Throttle Empire car we just set-up the review but when it comes down to it i as a real car enthusiast can appreciate this car for what it is its a tuff build and you can tell the owner has spent the time and the money to make this car what it is regardless if its a ss or hsv really who cares in my books its a tuff car
I know it was an honest mistake.. even I could t tell it apart in person on the day.. it’s a very well done mock up.. it’s hard for people to understand I guess since it’s not your car and the owner wasn’t there 🥲 I still loved the car
But the car had your plates DNT810 you guys are a bunch of crooks
Not you Ross you’re a legend
I’m talking about full throttle empire aka full throttle bodge
@Arunjeet_vaper lol mate I don't know if you have ever heard of defamation that is what you are doing right now that is not our car as I stated in my comment
@@fullthrottleempire8037 your plates.
@@fullthrottleempire8037 your plates are on the car though and your sticker on the back 🤔
Cars is duer die naai man love them
I'm pretty sure a W1 maloo sold for just over a million .
The Utes can sell around a million
When cars were sexy AF
They are hot eh
I knew it wasn’t a legit W1 but was hard for me to tell about being a GTSR it’s a well done rep.. it wasn’t until I seen the cluster again editing that I started to think it wasn’t a GtSR actually 🥲 misunderstanding with the boys as it was not their car but a friends and he wasn’t there
Nice car but, I don’t think it is a even a real GTSR.
Also what is wrong with the roof lining on the drivers side?
Seems to be a replica n we just had a communication issue.. it’s pretty impressive in person I even missed the red flags until I started editing
next vid>> How to repair Vf SS roof liner? XD
😅 asap
