There is actually no overheat mechanic. It's a result of a piece of code where if your jetpack force vector (basically, an arrow pointing towards where the jetpack is pulling you, and as long as how much force it has) collides with a wall and exceeds it by some amount, you will die. In the example you showed, you were stuck against the roof of the ship, so it obviously collided, you just needed to wait until the force vector was big enough. It's also not strictly about speed, it's about force, which is why you can buffer your jetpack and reach really high speeds while your force remains relatively low. It shouldn't be possible for you to die to this while pointing away from all objects (for example, into the sky), but there are a bunch of pieces of rogue collision around that make this very prone to error. It is still good to remember that the minimum threshold for this to kill you is quite high, so you can do a lot of trips without buffering at all.
@@chboo1897 YOOOOOO thank you so much for clarifying this. I can't believe that my video managed to reach you. I love the stuff your doing for the lethal company community 👍🏻
missing points: - if you drop your jetpack while boosting with it, when it's at the ground it will still lose battery. To stop that glitch, just take it and boost again(don't drop it while boosting) - dropping you're jetpack when you're in the air is stopping totally your velocity (but not your falling velocity) so if you see that you're too fast and that you'll crash on a wall just drop your jetpack before so you don't crash - it's good that you tell - to practice your jetpack go on the company and try to start from a container or the ground, to land on another container, when you can do it 3 times in a row just try to land on one container but with a further distance ect. when you'll begin to learn the jetpack, try to go high in the sky and to land slowly on a precise landing point(it can be main entrance if you practice on maps and not on company) it will be like an helicopter trajectory. when you'll be more comfortable with the jetpack, you can go faster and your trajectory will be like a plane. - if you want to start to fly faster, jump and start boosting(you'll get instant speed) that's good that you talk about advantages with jetpack but you don't talk a lot about its limits and how to avoid them: for two handed items you can take cruiser or tzp(not recommended but easier than cruiser) also you say that cruiser is too much situational but you didn't explained why. for me jetpack became situational: with cruiser you can take every items and with its jumps, you are faster than if you took a jetpack. you can do jumps on a lot of moons, for exemple on adamance cruiser is better because you jump on the main, you clear the main , then go to fire(it's fast to drive to fire) and after clearing fire, you jump back to the ship also on titan there is a jump to the main so you'll take less time than a jetpack on artifice cruiser is the best the jump to fire exit is so easy, fire is near the main so there is no probleme when items are at main and you want put them on the cruiser and you can even kill giants or dogs with shovel or knife thx to the cruiser. there is a lot of exemple that shows that cruiser is more usefull than jetpack. I understand that you don't wanna train jumps but don't say anything like that without explainning(for a next video try to explain for everything that you qualify bad or good). jetpack could be very effective with glitches but it deserves another video because there is so much things to say and to illustrat and I don't think the goal of the video was to talk about glitches combined with jetpack. your video is still good tuto for people who don't know jetpack and I like the way you edited your video, this makes the video really good to watch. I'm sorry if you took it in the wrong way, I just wanted to help.
Heyo thanks for taking the time to give this criticism! I did have more to say about the jetpack and hey you may even see some of this covered in a different vid. (Likely the lethal psychology part about the cruiser)
Also, you definitely deserve more views, you put a lot of effort into this and all for the sake of sharing information and advice to others, you earned my sub
Awesome video! It was really well edited. Genuinely made me laugh a few times. I will say that this showed up in my recommended after I watched a few vids by Bread
The fact that march was placed in the same spot as Assurance and not Offense, in spite of both Offense and March having the same problem of the top 5 likely spawns of the interior map being Large Axel, Bottles, Tattered Sheets, Big Bolts, and V-Engine is really funny to me. I always find that March gives a lot more useless scrap than anything like Vow or Assurance where they are more so balanced to give items of greater value... and with a Jetpack, neither Bees nor the near-constant two-handeds that often spawn on March are going to be great. The only thing the Jetpack would help with is Gold Bars, but if you are playing March for the sole chance of getting Gold Bars, then you are going to be nipped more than given since it is so rare... nearly as rare as Experimentation, mind you. Honestly, it feels like Zeekers intentionally or unintentionally nerfed the Jetpack hard with the many more two-handed items that are now found in every moon. Makes it worth a lot less than it actually is. Might as well buy a TZP or two at that point, be way cheaper and more usable than being stock in another March or Offence map where you find yourself with too many Axels, Bottles, Engines, Grabage Lids, Soccer Balls, and Toilet Paper.
@@Khotgor Remember I am not ranking these moons based on how good they are but rather how good they pair with the jetpack. March has 3 fire exits and a main entrance. All of them are far apart making the jetpack more effective (especially for solo players). The problem with 2 handed items is much worse on offense and here's why: you have many more openings into the facility on March than offense allowing you to get lots of small scrap by scouting each exit out. On offense not only is there only 1 fire exit but also offense is extremely hazardous in comparison. Remember that the top enemy spawn is the thumper and the coil head has a strangely high spawn rate in comparison to other moons. This thumper problem means you will have to take a shovel to kill it giving you less room in your inventory to carry scrap. Remember that the whole purpose of a jetpack is so that you will stay in the facility longer. This makes it VERY likely you will encounter multiple thumpers and even coil heads Credit where credit is due however you are correct that I should have directly stated March's issue with large scrap. When I did my runs I just didn't find it to be that big of an issue because there are so many fire exits to fly too.
Although I do agree with putting titan up high, its placement has next to nothing to do with the jetpack. At best you can save a few seconds by flying up the stairs, but because the return trip is almost exclusively straight down, just dropping down scrap and walking a very short trip to secure loot can be done just as well with or without the jetpack. Also I’d put rend higher. It does have very poor visibility, but that’s the only downside. The return trip is fairly long and the 2 entrances are far apart, so the jetpack is significantly better than both walking and optimal cruiser play. Rend is leagues safer than all the other paid moons, with a low power count (same range or less than tier 2 moons) and a very high nutcracker spawn chance, which is good.
The car is probably the best for artiface you just put it all on top and jump it back at like 11 The jump isn't that hard to learn (took me like 2 hrs)
You dedicated a whole segment to the simplest of math problems and didnt even mention overtime bonus, you only need to sell like 2100 to go to artifice with jet and shovels
