Many people perceive the words as a tribute to the spring, but they are most likely also a yearning for peace, as the poem was written in the spring of 1945, shortly before the end of the war.

In 2001 (aprox) the Norwegian rap band Multicyde made the «modern» version. After that it was picked up by bands in Korea. So it is not strange that you feel you’ve heard this melody «forever»! ;)
@danhemin well if its directly translated from the english version the refrain goes something like: A better day when night belongs to dawn. Another way for us to carry on. And those who might say, it´s never been to long, you gotta be strong, a better day will come... or something...

'cuz the way people dressed on the clip look like old fashion easten country, but, the US came in, that's not the way they dressed at that time. it looks like old English fashion or something like that, i dont know, just guess ^^
