Sir ..you test is amazing. Just 5 questions clear so many concepts & explain how to consider each sector& how parameters vary. Honoured to watch your videos& learn.. coming from non finance background, you made the concepts so simple..thanks once again professor
Very nice session once again. I especially found the example for financial service company interesting and hope you extend on that topic in future lessons
what is equity income for financial services companies that is said in the video ? i searched and Equity income is treated as dividends, thanks in advance !
its the income returned to shareholders my friend. Essentially the only thing you care about for measuring the performance of a bank is whats left over for equity holders. Which is very diff to a growth tech company - where the focus isnt on net income as profit but on gross profit
No. S&M activities are generally done in-year and responsible for the revenue of that fiscal year; operational activity outside of production. Cap-ex are investments for the future, which is why R&D in theory falls into that definition.
Sir you are "The Intelligent Instructor" 😜. Suggestion - The resolution of video is less so not able to view the Income statement of PELOTON. Slides need one more device. EDIT - Sorry, my bad. Good quality on laptop. Problem only on phone.

Shouldn't a majority portion of Sales and Marketing Expenses, be also treated as Capital expense rather than Operating expense?
