I came to Christ because I was a sinner. I came to Christ because my ways were broken, and wrong and full of sin. I came to Christ because He loved me enough to cover all my bad, and he was willing to give me all his good. Certainly, there are fruits to one's salvation, but if we are coming to the cross for personal gains, that isn't the attitude that honors God. The only "favor connection" we need is connection to Christ. I mean this guy has been going on and on, and I don't think I have heard him even mention Jesus once? God created us to worship Him, to love, honor and obey him. That's the message we all need to hear... the only way to exchange our ways for his ways is to fully surrender to Jesus. This is not the true gospel of Christ at all!

The only thing we believe is the last resort but the most miraculous and effective medicine left is "prayer". My uncle who is also a pastor is suffering severe colon tumor and its like very likely we could lose him anytime. Doctors had made recent operation on him to remove the tumor but it even worsen his case. I listen to your sermons as I go for my walk , sometimes it’s back to back sermons for more than an hour walk and it’s been really nourishing for my spirit and mind! This particular message speaks so much to me for this season, as I have joined a so-called “competitor” in others’ eyes and now partner together in a new business venture. If it was the old me, I would have viewed it as a form of defeat of submission. But I have always wondered about their winning formula and wondered how they could grow so fast even during the pandemic where many have come to a standstill. It’s like they said,”if you can’t beat them , join them.” And so I really put down all the differences and in fact, I didn’t care much about pride or how people will see it, I just want to be with a winning team, I want to learn, I want to grow and most importantly, I want to succeed and make a positive impact like them.
