A fantastic conclusion to a fantastic first season Andy! Its still amazing to see how much you have improved and innovated over the years! Very proud to call you my friend, am fiercely proud of you, well done mate!
You know I realize this is something thats never really been covered by all the talking engine series on youtube. Whats the last day of an engine like? Whats it like for them knowing that after decades of service their time is up. This approached it perfectly, and that speech from her at the end was touching. I don't think I've ever legitimately felt any other emotions besides interest when watching these shows until now.
TOP TIER EPISODE! I really enjoyed this one. I love how this episode shows how much the Island cares for the residents. Not only that we learned more about Bride as a character. I always thought her name was Bride, so nice curveball there. I also enjoyed Seb. Usually I imagine him as this chaotic being. However it was nice to see a more down to earth and caring side of Seb. Also loved the Dexby engines and their theme. I can't wait to see them expanded on more. As I said Top Tier episode. Can't wait for series 2 and thank you for bringing us the amazing first series of Tales Of New Wessex.
I will always be amazed by your ability to blend humour and emotion with the perfect measures to create something brilliant, this was a very emotional episode, and I really am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what season 2 is going to bring us.
I am utterly amazed. You've improved so much since the original run of SVR and this was an excellent conclusion to a fantastic first season. What I loved best about this was the emotional aspect, you really took the time to establish Bride as a character and that's what I think made the emotional impact really work. Utterly superb work.
An amazing conclusion, and just between this one, the unexpected BS to be seen had nearly made me fall off my chair when I first saw the scene starting at 26:45 and then at 27:03, I WAS DYING!
Man, WHAT AN ENDING. This really tugged at the heartstrings, and was so beautifully done that it made me quite emotional. Although I am extremely sad to see Bride go, the way you have rounded up her story to such a satisfying conclusion with such a heartfelt send-off is just incredible. I have been a fan of this series and indeed this channel for many years, from the original series onwards, and it is truly awe inspiring and incredible to watch how it has grown into something you can truly be so incredibly proud of. Hands down one of the best stories I have ever watched - the perfect blend of humor, joy, sadness and somber moments with heartwarming story twists and turns, accompanied by an incredibly well-detailed route, epic score and wonderful story telling. I rate it 1000000000/10. You work has inspired me to build my own route and indeed one day start my own series, and I am sure that I will continue to do so for many years to come. Incredible work Andy, don't ever stop being awesome!
That ending scene of Bride at the switch off of the mainline almost felt as though she was "choosing her own path" so to speak. Wouldn't a signalman have already lined her for Swindon by the time she got there? I don't think she is taking orders from BR as easy as she let on...
Bride, a legend, a beast of steel, a marvel of enginering, and a fantastic marble of machinery! We like to thank you for for your years of service and time on the New Wessex railway time for the whistle salute every engine on new wessex: blows one long and loud whistle for bride!
Great story video Westward! The part when the back engine said; “Thanks for waiting flap face!” Got me. 😂 And despite the amount of profanity in the third quarter of the story, Rook somehow got trapped inside a sea of trucks. He’s not one happy camper, or Panier. 😂😅 And when I learned that Bride will be getting cut up hurt my heart, but there are times that will happen. There must be something that should be done to save Bride.
Andy, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you have a real talent. I did shed a tear when Bride left Stowmouth for the final time, or at least that’s what we think ;) - can’t wait for season 2!!
What an amazing way to end an amazing series I’ve loved every episode and longed for the next great work to you and everyone who helped voice the other engines I can’t explain enough how much I and others have enjoyed this series here’s to season two everyone 🍻
Next episode is bride getting saved via plot convenience, possibly something to do with Roberts plan potentially, and pilot is graveling in insanity with gravel
OH MY GOD, it is a sad time to see Bride go. But we can't expect when will it happen. Anyway, What a great season of episode, Andy! This episode is by far the best things I have ever seen. You did an amazing job. Tale of New Wessex is the best of the tale. I'm Speechless my man.
me and my wife love your series!! sad that Steamie's one day either end up as scrap or in a museum. oh how we wish Steamie's would make a comeback now days got to admit these diesels now days are ugly as ugly gets.
I think it has more to do with her "old name". Doing some research, I found that 'Bride of Lammermoor'/"Bride" was originally named 'Robertson', after a GWR director. No. 2987 (then known as "No. 187") was renamed 'Bride of Lammermoor' in April 1907, in order to fit in with naming of her class after characters by Sir Walter Scott. The name "Roberta" works as it is a feminine version close enough to the original name of 'Robertson'.
27:04 why do i feel like, this is a mother and father trying to save there son from falling off a balcony into a pool 27:38 , later the son wants to kill his father by drowning him in the ocean/water. what year does brides scrapping news take place?
wow as someone who has been working on restoring steam enginees for the last few months for work expence i can not imagen how it would feel to be sent to the scrapers minor request what are the different enginees classes ??
I love how grounded this series is and then there's an engine trying to jump off the side of the dock in the next scene
This series is just bants
Bride will never truly die. Her spirit will live on.
A fantastic conclusion to a fantastic first season Andy! Its still amazing to see how much you have improved and innovated over the years! Very proud to call you my friend, am fiercely proud of you, well done mate!
what true friendship is, even though you constantly insult eachother during streams 🤣
Couldn’t agree with you more Tom
Hello dark DJ productions
I like your dack railway series
"can I call you Andy?"
"No."
(continues to call him andy anyway)

That was heart breaking. I hope something good happens to Bride on season 2
Bride...no...
Dammit I'm gonna miss her in Season 2 but good god this was a beautiful sendoff for her
I will always be amazed by your ability to blend humour and emotion with the perfect measures to create something brilliant, this was a very emotional episode, and I really am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what season 2 is going to bring us.
A great end to Season 1 bro, it's a pleasure to set my piano on fire for you 🙏🙏❤❤

33:49 hmmmmmmmmmm why do I feel like she is not going to be scrapped
Also like the music
That’s what I’m feeling too. Let’s hope that this particular ‘feel’ is righty!!!
Ya…
Here here!!!
"many many sources" you mean all of Dexby's clones running around

Incredible work Andy, don't ever stop being awesome!
I hope bride gets saved from scrap by someone
My vote would be the National Railway Museum
The dexby locos will kidnap her
Now she's dead probably pretty much dead unless they attached her soul to a diesel
I think a private owner bought her

time for the whistle salute
every engine on new wessex: blows one long and loud whistle for bride!
Indeed

Rest in Peace Bride (c. 1905 - c. 1965)
You were the best engine: strong, reliable and important.
I really like the pace of this episode, nearly cried tears of joy too
great work as always I was quite upset since the scrapping of any engine weather it be in a show or real life upsets me quite a lot
What an amazing way to end an amazing series I’ve loved every episode and longed for the next great work to you and everyone who helped voice the other engines I can’t explain enough how much I and others have enjoyed this series here’s to season two everyone 🍻
Okay, who else cried?..
Me lots!!!! :(
I have always been a fan of your story development since the first episode I saw. Thanks
I was crying though all of that amazing stuff this
Next episode is bride getting saved via plot convenience, possibly something to do with Roberts plan potentially, and pilot is graveling in insanity with gravel
No.
Then to the forever yard she goes
None of Brides class survived irl, at least in their original form. So dont be surprised if this is truly her end.
23:40, do i hear a richard hamm ond quote? P.S. I meant the gap in hammond, im not a koala
Love how Bride sounds like Mrs Doubtfire
OH MY GOD, it is a sad time to see Bride go. But we can't expect when will it happen. Anyway, What a great season of episode, Andy! This episode is by far the best things I have ever seen. You did an amazing job. Tale of New Wessex is the best of the tale. I'm Speechless my man.
a very nice job, Andy! I give 5 stars to season 1!
me and my wife love your series!! sad that Steamie's one day either end up as scrap or in a museum. oh how we wish Steamie's would make a comeback now days got to admit these diesels now days are ugly as ugly gets.
17:36
I love the soundtrack
An excellent episode, well done to all involved. Can’t wait for season 2. I wonder who the man in red was?
That's lord Dexby
Never thought talking engines would make me cry lol but damn
This was a fantastic end to season 1! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for season 2! Also, is there any place to listen to the music of this episode?
What's the music piece that plays when the Dexby engines arrive i freaking love it
It’s an original piece written by Reilly Cornwall specially for the Dexby engines in this episode.
@@SteamingWestwardsProductions They did a great job, can't stop listening to it lol
Farewell bride she went out in her way and the best way possible she will be missed from the series looking forward to see season two
Rest in pices Bride, you will be dearly missed, may you live on in the engines of the branch lines hearts.
well done my chap, excellent as always. cheers :)
This is legit more sad then when Leander killed cammor Colin and Owen
is the lady engine named after the girl from the railway children by any chance

Bride is an immortal
Goodbye Bride you endless legend
Great episode and ending ,Great ending for bride and a great episode and I hope to see more of this series
They Preserved Bride Ya hooooooo
27:04 why do i feel like, this is a mother and father trying to save there son from falling off a balcony into a pool 27:38 , later the son wants to kill his father by drowning him in the ocean/water. what year does brides scrapping news take place?
I sometimes wish Bride was purchased as a private engine before she got scrapped...
How many engines are there on the Dexby railway? Since Wyven's number is 33.
Many
so is Bride gone for good?
I didn't cry 3 times while watching this I swear (and im not even half finished watching it oh fu-)
correction I didn't cry 5 times I swear. God I really hope that Lord Dark or the Fat Controller or someone manages to save Bride in season two
bad news past self
How is mister dexby on new wessex and the rewick and chiltern hills line, plus dexby all at the same time?
Good question.
Mr Dexby is everywhere and everywhere is Mr Dexby
@@SteamingWestwardsProductions is that a shrek reference?
e/i've only watched a few of these and i gotta say these are amazing and one question will bride be saved or is she actually seeing her fate?
wow as someone who has been working on restoring steam enginees for the last few months for work expence i can not imagen how it would feel to be sent to the scrapers
minor request what are the different enginees classes ??
Oh don’t tell me it’s that crazy engine from ROR
No.
Holy Mary! this is gonna be sweet!
Why must you hurt me so
What railway is that
Fictional railway on a fictional island in a fictional universe
I really don't like Robert after seeing season two. Wonder what scheme he has up his sleeve
