Grew up in Seattle and been to the market
many times. It was always exciting to go. My sister came for a visit three years ago. She's been in NM for 20 years. She was first taken aback by the tents and filth. The market was almost packed tho. We rode the elevator up with out of town tourists.
There is absolutely no way this is normal tourist activity in July. Doesn't matter if it's rainy. That place should have loads of people.
With that said, covid-19 is hijacking the tourist industry. However.... There should be more people in the market.
Seattle is getting a lot of negative press. Rightfully so in reality.

  • @LaoOcean

What is the political common denominator for Seattle, Olympia, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, and many more cities in the process of Armageddon? Let me guess- democrat control?

Keep voting in the Democrats. Surely voting in the same people will improve things....

Your city seems an open mental institution with a mayor who lost all touch with reality. Not a place where i wanna go.

LoL... tours the tourist area during a pandemic... asks why it appears tourists dont come around. couldn't be the travel restrictions? or the stay home suggestion? lol. you should see pike place on any regular day. none of the issues the people in the comments complain about keep that kind of non stop herd out of that market. haha.
