As long as a person fully understands everything that was said in Eminem’s verse... every line, bar, wordplay.. I feel like they have to put this as a TOP FIVE verse from Eminem ever ..
That Clint Eastwood line, there was an old western movie where he was trying not to be a killer anymore but did what he had to do and went back to it. Easily one of my top 3 Em Verses
I have listened to this song SO many times and I think I just caught a double. Not heard anybody say this yet. When em hits that Dali Lama bar. “I coulda turned Ali wit the Lama” Muhammad Ali dodged the draft and chose peace 🤯 That is a MONSTER double.
Lama is another term for a gun, he's saying he could have turned to violence. Still a great double but I don't think he was going down the Muhammed Ali route. If he was then fair play for catching it

Also the end of Yela's first verse is one of the hardest God bars of all time. This is a super special song.

Longevity, flow, cadence, bars etc. Eminem will have you rewinding the track 10 times because you caught the bar and wanna analyze it, and in doing so you caught 2 more things that previously went over you head. To truly understand Eminem you have to go into the song and tell yourself, "What is Eminem gonna teach me today? Because I'm ready to learn sir." I have watched this video so many times purely for the last bars 😂 it gives me chills and makes me laugh every time when the guy literally falls off his chair. Absolute gold reaction ❤
As far as the bar heavy song in Em’s catalogue, Alfred’s Theme has to be at the top. It’s not sonically pleasing to everyone but that bowling scheme haunts my dreams still.
Yes.. you keep thinking after every bar it has to be the last part of the scheme but it just keeps going. His word play / knowledge of words / general knowledge of so many different aspects is extremely impressive. People always attribute it to EM reading the dictionary but that is maybe a quarter of it. Someone could read a dictionary every day of their life and still not be able to put bars / verses together. You have to understand the meaning / context of the word and how it applies to whatever situation you are referencing. What makes it even more impressive is the man failed grade 9 3x and then dropped out of school for good. Yet he makes the majority of people look remedial with his general knowledge. EM deserves all the props that he gets; he has certainly put in the work / effort.
so throw on the theme to alfred, i'll channel him like the panama canal but how can i get up in arms about you sayin' trash is all that i put out bitch i still get the bag when i'm puttin garbage out plus the potty mouth i'm not about to wash it out the filthiest, so all this talk about i'm washed up, how preposterous because if cleanliness is next to Godliness Then it's impossible for me to be beside myself and i'm bout that capital like a proper noun, still on top the pile Got you sittin' on numbers, like a pocket dial quick to call you out on your bullshit, don't make me give that crock a dial cause if I do it's see you later alligator, made it out the trailer then I made a vow to cater to no one So hate, I gained about the same amount that in my bank account So here's some more shit for you to complain about..
Ems flow in Go To Sleep is very similar to his flow in The Way I Am and he stays in that angry vengeful pocket he's so good in. Definitely great tracks to listen to.
I absolutely love y'all's reactions because the first time I listened to it i was alone and had no one to share it with but this is HOW I FELT. I just slid to the floor like WTF did i just listen to?! I literally waited hours for my dad to get home just to have someone to share it with. He's an old school Christian, rap is NOT his thing. Don't get me wrong, he had a great reaction to it but he can't understand the lyricism and metaphors and double entendre. I'm so thankful I can at least watch yeah react to it 😂
y’all are getting better with catching the bars 😃 people who don’t know his life/history will always miss some because they don’t have the context, like this being about his best friend Proof. the video helps in this case, because when Em says “who you think i’m talkin bout” he’s posed so that his Proof tattoo is front and center 😢
This my favourite Eminem verse bar none the way he dilvered everything in his verse pure🔥🔥🔥 The way he put Proof in the booth with PAC n Biggie so much🔥🔥🔥 Respect from Dublin Ireland 👍🇮🇪🇺🇸🇮🇪 Bro I'm from Ireland and even I know Texas is the South 😂😂
Even listening on headphones, the mix on "enemy surrounds you now" switches from left to right and back in your ears. It's so good! And yes, the Proof homage is amazing
This entire verse is doubles of things that Em makes sound the same... Absolute lyrical masterpiece. The lyrics in this case threw you off, because you were taking most lyrics at face value. ❤ some examples: "could have turned Dalai with the Llama" sounds like "could have turned Ali with the lama" - Muhammad Ali with the weapon "I've been a menace to" sounds like "I've been a minister" "'cause I'm a center" sounds like "I'm a sinner" read the "sounds like" in the context of the song, and you'll see what I mean
Exactly why I don't pull up the words until I've listened to how he pronounces the words in all of his songs first. Gotta truly listen several times before I even think about looking up the lyrics. Em is always teaching or schooling ya lol.
thats why em the goat, this man does not say straight things, if you think you understand every bar, you are in for a treat because there is a whole song in a song, that has double meaning and that still makes sense
Hey guys, great reaction to both artists and the song as a whole. Thought I’d let you guys know that Em is literally talking about his best friend, Proof. He mentions him in the line with Iggy Pop, Biggie, and Tupac. That’s the “best friend” Em is talking about but Yelawolf is referring to God as his “best friend”. If you go back and listen to it, from when he says “you’ll be DOA” to the end, you’ll get it. Oh and also, the Bible Belt consists of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Northern parts of South Carolina and East TX. Yelawolf was born in Alabama and raised in Tennessee. Both very much the Heart of the Bible Belt.
The Eastwood line could refer to the movie Pale Rider, where he plays a character known as Preacher, or his movie Unforgiven where his character is a reformed villain turned family man. Great movies, BTW. Yela definitely seems to be referring to Christ, but Em could be doing the same OR he might be talking about the late Proof, his actual best friend.
The bars about Clint Eastwood is that as an actor, Clint portrays a rough guy, who looks for peace, but trouble always finds him and he’s not afraid to take it on, but always shows remorse for the bad shit he has to do to take it on, and looks for forgiveness for the things he’s done in the name of good. He’s a soldier, who does bad things in the name of good.
As defined by the U.S. federal government, it includes Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Homies. You guys should pull genius up for real. You’d be so surprised and get why people say you guys still miss a lot. Love the effort though these reactions have gone so fire.
the clint eastwood bar is about a movie he was in called "Pale Rider". He Was A Priest (Preacher) In That Movie. theres a part in the movie where he goes to a band of bandits to se if he can get them to be peaceful.
You trying to fry them. I think they will eventually do it though . They starting to pick up on a bit better. Right now is too early for psychopath killer, speedom ft tech right for me
Clint Eastwood did a movie where he had a gun he called peace maker. He also did a western where he was an ex gun fighter turned minister and he’s forced to come out of ministry to fight bad guys that take over his little Wild West town. That’s what that bar was referring to. He didn’t start the fight but he finished it
Clint Eastwood played a role in the movie called pale rider and Clint Eastwood was a preacher who was a ghost and one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and he was death but in search of repentance he helps a group of miners who are bullied by a man and his men into giving them their land , he does alot to try to repent throughout the movie
So Clint Eastwood has been in a couple movies where he's played people either looking for salvation or he himself has played a "religious man". The two that come to mind off the top of my head are Gran Torino (where he plays an angry man whose wife just died, and a priest plays a pretty big secondary character, always trying to get him to go to confession and repent) and Pale Rider (where he plays a traveling "pastor" but in all reality is a wolf in sheep's clothing, as he's more like a spirit of death, come to save a struggling mining town from a big tycoon). A lot of the second half of his verse has to do with Proof, his best friend who died of gunshots in a club, and Em's "best friend" could either be seen as Proof himself, or God. And is played as a double entendre.
Love the reactions fam, y'all want a couple of dope bar filled yela songs check these ones out - Yelawolf - Billy Goat Yelawolf - Mountain Dew Mouth Yelawolf - Bounce Yelawolf - Keep on Rollin
You should listen to this on headphones. When he says “your arch enemy surrounds you” the audio goes in stereo and like echoes from ear to ear to make it sound like it looped around you
The "Clint Eastwood", "peace", "priesthood" scheme is referencing Clint Eastwood's 1970 film "Two Mules for Sister Sarah". Essentially about Eastwood's character - a rough, bitter, angry gunslinger - having to take an embattled and in-peril nun under his wing - Sister Sarah - to get her to safety and avoid the villains chasing her. Eminem's scheme, here, goes to the heart of the film, where Eastwood's character struggles with his own morality and redemption thanks to his unlikely pairing with the Catholic nun. It's, in my mind, one of Eastwood's best films and i KNOW all 3 of you guys would like it, even if you're not huge into Westerns. Definitely worth a watch, trust me! If for no other reason than because Em references it here, and we know Em only pays homage to great people / situations / themes. So even Em wants you to watch it lol

LOL yall got my sub cause its funny the way yall dont know any of these GOATED people like Gandhi and Clint Eastwood but also i get that the newer Gen is very different from mine but still we all respect the Goats
Clint Eastwood line is referencing pale rider. Clint was a traveling preacher that came to town. He was previously a gun fighter and turns back to it to protect the townspeople
Just for the record the south is defined by the U.S. federal government, it includes Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. This has to be Cartier Family's best banger video. I could never really focus on what Eminem was rapping about. But with Cartier Family's help, I have finally, understood. I'm 41 years old now. And this took me back to my teenage days when among all my best friends was a friend I always talk to but I was incapable to see. That was my best friend and He was God. He caused the Big Bang to create the universe. He created Jesus and the Holy Ghost (Angel Gabriel). God, best friend, banger song, Big Bang, repent and be as if born again.
I like how when you listen to the song with earphones and on eminem’s verse where he says “you archenemy surrounds you now,” the music jumps from earbud to earbud. ✨

I have watched this video so many times purely for the last bars 😂 it gives me chills and makes me laugh every time when the guy literally falls off his chair.
EM deserves all the props that he gets; he has certainly put in the work / effort.
so throw on the theme to alfred, i'll channel him like the panama canal
but how can i get up in arms about you sayin' trash is all that i put out
bitch i still get the bag when i'm puttin garbage out
plus the potty mouth i'm not about to wash it out
the filthiest, so all this talk about i'm washed up, how preposterous
because if cleanliness is next to Godliness
Then it's impossible for me to be beside myself
and i'm bout that capital like a proper noun, still on top the pile
Got you sittin' on numbers, like a pocket dial
quick to call you out on your bullshit, don't make me give that crock a dial
cause if I do it's see you later alligator, made it out the trailer
then I made a vow to cater to no one
So hate, I gained about the same amount that in my bank account
So here's some more shit for you to complain about..
I'm so thankful I can at least watch yeah react to it 😂
Phenomenal
Kings never die
Right for me
Guts over fear
I think the Clint Eastwood bar is a reference to the movie "gran torino" ... masterpiece movie
y’all are getting better with catching the bars 😃 people who don’t know his life/history will always miss some because they don’t have the context, like this being about his best friend Proof. the video helps in this case, because when Em says “who you think i’m talkin bout” he’s posed so that his Proof tattoo is front and center 😢
And yes, the Proof homage is amazing
awww i love my boy in the knight shirt... hes a believer.. Its awesome he connected to this song. Much love my bro
This entire verse is doubles of things that Em makes sound the same... Absolute lyrical masterpiece. The lyrics in this case threw you off, because you were taking most lyrics at face value. ❤
some examples:
"could have turned Dalai with the Llama"
sounds like
"could have turned Ali with the lama" - Muhammad Ali with the weapon
"I've been a menace to"
sounds like
"I've been a minister"
"'cause I'm a center"
sounds like
"I'm a sinner"
read the "sounds like" in the context of the song, and you'll see what I mean
Eminem loves his homophones.
Its the friendship yall have for me ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey guys, great reaction to both artists and the song as a whole.
He also smokes everyone who gets in his way, tho? Lol
Used to watch his movies with my father when i was kid, but i dont remember much of them
@@AzazeIlI exactly, as a western icon, he was like a real deal western superhero, but with big ass handguns 😆
THIS IS THE BEST VERSE IN THE HISTORY OF RAP, NO ONE WILL EVER BE ABLE TO TOP THIS.
Oh shit y’all finally did it! I’m glad you all enjoyed it. Next is “Chloraseptic Remix”. “A kiss” bad meets evil
Also ya'll should do more Yelawolf songs. He's got bars and more rap ability than what he shows here.
That "like quarterbacks and take a fuckin hike when I snap cause I'm a sinner (center)" is one of the hardest Em lines ever
Then they give their friend shit for not catching it. When you can hear planes (bars) soaring over all their heads.
When you guys listen to these songs you should have "rap genius" on the side so you can follow the song and see the meanings of every bar.
the clint eastwood bar is about a movie he was in called "Pale Rider". He Was A Priest (Preacher) In That Movie. theres a part in the movie where he goes to a band of bandits to se if he can get them to be peaceful.
Y’all HAVE to do Psycopath Killer by Slaughterhouse and Em😬. Top 3 Em verse
Too much 😂😂😂
THAT IS TOO MUCH FOR THEM LOL
lol rite too much for them but I love that song one of my favorite
You trying to fry them. I think they will eventually do it though . They starting to pick up on a bit better. Right now is too early for psychopath killer, speedom ft tech right for me
Definitely dope but not close to his top 3 imo
Clint Eastwood did a movie where he had a gun he called peace maker. He also did a western where he was an ex gun fighter turned minister and he’s forced to come out of ministry to fight bad guys that take over his little Wild West town. That’s what that bar was referring to. He didn’t start the fight but he finished it
Check out more yelawolf.
He definitely has bars. Just not in every song. He’s very versatile with his style
pop the trunk and trunk muzik insane flow.
Black sheep album with Caskey was my fav
Y’all should definitely react to the Friday night cypher because Eminem goes crazy on there and it’s a dope ass cypher
One of my favorite em verses. I swear you can hear his soul leave his body towards the end the verse.
And is played as a double entendre.
i saw yelawolf live front row in May and it was phenomenal
Love the reactions fam, y'all want a couple of dope bar filled yela songs check these ones out -
Yelawolf - Billy Goat
Yelawolf - Mountain Dew Mouth
Yelawolf - Bounce
Yelawolf - Keep on Rollin
You should listen to this on headphones. When he says “your arch enemy surrounds you” the audio goes in stereo and like echoes from ear to ear to make it sound like it looped around you
I heard this song in 7th grade , it was my fav em verse ever since
Hey guys I love the reactions you be killing en keep it up fam.
It's like eminem gets better and better...it makes u think cus he gots everything...no rapper right now can't mess with eminem... That dude is a legend
Yall are cool as cool gets. Em, bruh Em is just different man. He puts words together that shouldn't work but he makes it work. Dudes a BEAST
"em makes me feel like im not doing anything😢" 😂😂😂 real af
Eminem - Detroit ve everybody and big sean- Friday night cypher
YES!
Yelawolf had a verse for this song but once he heard Em’s verse he let him have the song. Em is talking about proof
He’s talking about God
Yelawolf has 2 verses on here lol what are you talking about
@@954buggy a rap verse
This is the best reaction video of this masterpiece. You can tell these guys flippin out feelin it. Just like the effect this song was meant to deliver.
Green hat is so annoying, em says 4 words pause
Priesthood/repenter/ both relate to the bar “for the people I’ve been a menace to(minister)” good reaction guys
The football one is dope af cause it's "Act like QBs and take a F,ing hike" hike like the ball and sinner like Center that snaps the ball
Em is on another level and he always will be. This song has always proved it..
You're all right about Texas and Oklahoma
1:15 lmao "It's official"... This dude becoming one of my favorite people
I promise you that you would not be disappointed if you started doing yelawolfs music. I cannot stress that enough lol. Most versatile dude in the game
"For the people ive been a MENACE TO not a preacher" but the way he annunciates MENACE TO sounds like MINNISTER. "For the people ive been a MINNESTER no a preacher" that is so cold
I've been an Em fan before Dre found him.. Em is 46.. ive been a fan since his first album....
'for the people I've been a menace to' also sounds like 'I've been a minister' followed by the next line 'not a preacher'
Eminem studied the dictionary, learned every word every meaning. Educating him self , the best rapper ever!! In my opinion, still wish em and ezay would have been able to work together! It would be epic!!
Clint eastwood reference is for his movie pale rider. He was a gun slinger turned preacher. Forced to kill again
Love yelawolf need to check more of him
Glad um here . First time listening to this jam. Been a while i listened to rap
The Clint Eastwood line refers to a movie Clint did called the Pale Rider where he tried to be a preacher to get away from the violence of his past.
@CartierFamily ... Em was a producer & a ex. producer on 2pacs Soundtrack ‘for PACS Documentary Resurrection ... Em wrote Afeni Shakur and she knew the fan Rm was of 2Pac and gave him all of his
acapellas! 🤍
The flow... Fucking hell this song hit different
I live in Oklahoma and WE ARE NOT WEST! Oklahoma is South Central of the US. We are the buckle of the Bible belt. Love ya guys! 😄
I need to be able to like this reaction more than once
My homie Will Washington produced this track...Glad to see you fellas reacting to it
the clint east wood line is from his movie gran torino. you guys should watch it is freaking awesome movie.
It's funny going back and listening to this reaction again after seeing the original reaction the same week now again while drinking and seeing at least 2 of them at a minimum partly drunk trying to catch bars lol it's entertaining for sure.
Mad love from Oklahoma! We the buckle of the Bible Belt!
