A better method for the figure 8 fence knot?

I have learnt a new way to tie a figure 8 knot in an electric fence that ensures good flow of electricity. Figure 8 knots are used in fence lines where wires are slack and are not under tension.

This is brilliant. Other videos have claimed the tight wraps each side of figure 8 create better hotwire conductivity, however each side, after going through the figure 8, is only tight wrapping back on itself. Certainly neatly finished and strong, but NO more electrical conductivity than a plain figure 8. That third wrap over the top provides tight wraps on one side of join to tight wraps on other side of join, MUCH better electrical connection.

I was taught this way, but for a standard fence, the third set of wraps wasn't necessary. I see a lot of other instructional vids on RUclips, instead of doing wraps & breaking off clean like this chap, they either do wraps & cut off the excess with pliers or no wraps & cut off the excess with pliers in both cases leaving snags for animals to get caught on. This method looks cleaner and safer for humans and animals alike! Good job mate keep up the good work.
