Awesome to see a somewhat local channel on here. Congrats on the biz! Heading up through Muskoka today to Burks Falls for New Years. Local to Oro area. Happy New Year and congrats again!
Awesome truck. As long as rust isn't a problem, that thing should last as long as you want it to. I've been a mobile mechanic running my own business for a couple years now, and it's the best thing I've ever done. I also just started my youtube channel so we'll see where that goes. Best of luck to both the business and the channel!!
Thanks! Hopefully I can keep the rust off lol! Thats amazing to hear, I'm definitely enjoying the freedom I get working for myself. I'll definitely be subscribing to your channel man! Best of luck to you my friend! I am also enjoying the new world of RUclips let me know if I can help you out
Awesome man I have been slowly building up my tools skills and clients over about 10 years, I just got my first business license 1/27/23, I just bought a service bed on a trailer last night 1/30/23, I have been working for a shop going on 2 years til today 1/31/23 when they fired me for starting my own business and let me tell you it was a great feeling lol now I’m organizing all my tools to get my truck and trailer ready for full time mobile work I will keep an eye out for your videos man keep up the hard work
Love to hear it brother! Sounds like you've got the wheels in motion, very exciting & congratulations!! Financial freedom is definitely the end goal. I wish you nothing but success!
Good stuff.I left my job in 2006 and started my own gig.Ran a few trucks doing 24hr service in the beginning now just take care of 2 fleets by myself.I went to a 7x14 trailer 5 years ago and a gas ram 2500 after having so many issues w/ def powered diesels.
Yeah, aftertreatment can get a little pricey with some annoying downtime, thats for sure! Quitting your day job to work for yourself.. best decision you ever made or what!?
@@tbup-north8718 Yes sir wish I had done it at a younger age.I am 52 now so I am kinda burned out but have accounts where I only need to work about 20hours a week or so to live good. When I started I worked around the clock and had many $2000 dollar days.Wished I would of saved a little more of that instead of buying a bunch of crap IE:boats,rv's and harleys LOL.But its been an experience that I have enjoyed
20hrs a week of fleet inspections & preventative maintenance doesn't sound like a bad gig! We all buy STUFF we don't NEED.. but we WANT it 😂 thats just life brother! Wish I started saving & investing my money sooner! Sounds like you've done alright though my friend.
I like that this wasn't a video where they spend the whole time explaining how they're going put those big ridiculous wheels with rubber band tires on that everyone has on their rig these days.
Not sure where your located but I’m sure salt is an issue. Do yourself a favor and undercoat it with fluid film or another lanolin based rustproofing every year and keep it clean.
Keep an eye out for rust on the bottoms of the tills it's sure is easier to paint a rusty spot here and there then it is to completely rebuild the bottoms of them
Get it undercoated before it rusts. 5.9 Has HUGE aftermarket support. Plenty of youtube videos and parts to get. Should last forever if you treat it right.
I just put a service bed on my truck and tools still not even loaded down but truck don't seem to handle the weight well suspension wise or pulling wise need air bags as far as motor cold air intake and motor in turned up unsure how much
I scaled my truck last week I was 12,467 surprisingly this thing is pretty quick for what it is has no issue merging onto the highway but it does have some pump work and bolt ons
Appear in Minnesota are Dodge diesel gets eaten alive by the salt used frame is perfect so I would definitely spray it down nothing will stay on the road for 30 years if you wanted it to that motor will outlive the truck
I use krown haven’t really used fluid film much it’s not easy to find in my area ! But I hear great things about it just haven’t used it myself so I have no first hand experience with the product
I have no idea why good mechanics will slave in a shop for someone else, in my opinion, mobile maintenance/mechanic is where the good money is. Granted, it takes a level of intestinal fortitude some people just don't possess.
Congrats on being able to get free pf your previous gig. Pray it all goes well for you 🙏 What was that tool you used to expand the brake caliper? Is it a brake caliper expander? 😂
I believe they label it as that , I have had this tool for years some people like I using c clamps and a old brake pad I was on flat rate at the time and this saved me time and money for sure love the tool definitely recommend it
It will when the hold tank is full in the back but it’s hard on it , Milwaukee impact is my go to air is there if I need it but more so for other duties
Ive been looking to get a new impact has that m12 held up to the task? I mean ur not taking lugs off a semi but a 3500 w sum rust will lock them on? just wanna know if u like that impact or have u had problems with it?
I love the m12 I always have my m18 stuff but most of the time I reach for the m12 lighter easier to get into places and 99 percent of the time successfully removes fastener
Been looking for a compressor cover online that fits. Vehicle is parked inside when not used, so that is a bonus. But definitely need the covers for longevity!

Thanks for the support! I'll be heading up passed Burks Falls in January for some ice fishing! Safe travels my friend! Happy New Year!
@@tbup-north8718 safe travels too man!
Congrats on going out on your own man 👍
Thank you very much looking forward to the adventure and seeing what the future holds!
If you quit you 9-5 to be the boss. Expect 6-11 7 days a week
Everyday is Wednesday now

How did y'all start off, getting your name out there?
Well I bought 500 business and started handing them out to local companies then word of mouth took over and now I’m getting calls for all over Ontario
Nice to see you on your own
Thank you for the kind words
Yes. Even comes with all the stickers. 💁🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
if only they could tell a story !!!
I like that this wasn't a video where they spend the whole time explaining how they're going put those big ridiculous wheels with rubber band tires on that everyone has on their rig these days.
Haha I have no plans for rubber bans on this truck , this thing needs big meaty tires !!
Got 86 square body Chevy I need to fix up to start doing my own thing too
Not sure where your located but I’m sure salt is an issue. Do yourself a favor and undercoat it with fluid film or another lanolin based rustproofing every year and keep it clean.
Yes that is already done haha was one of the first things after this video , and I’m in Ontario so I know all about the salt terrible stuff haha
Good lookin unit! Editing is gettin better every time! Keep up the good work fellas
Thank you kind sir!
Good for you hope everything works out for you!!!
Thank you very much for the kind words
Neat tool boxes on both sides!
I felt the "This is how you know you're poor" comment.
They are for sure very handy!!!!! haha I'm glad someone else felt it as much as I did!! thank you for the view and comment

Keep em coming man !
Absolutely brother 🤙 we've got more videos in the chamber!
Get it undercoated before it rusts. 5.9 Has HUGE aftermarket support. Plenty of youtube videos and parts to get. Should last forever if you treat it right.
I am definitely a cummins fan boy lmao this will be 12 valve #4 just first time in a second gen
I just put a service bed on my truck and tools still not even loaded down but truck don't seem to handle the weight well suspension wise or pulling wise need air bags as far as motor cold air intake and motor in turned up unsure how much
Mine is not can and chassis so my bed is a whole box shorter
I scaled my truck last week I was 12,467 surprisingly this thing is pretty quick for what it is has no issue merging onto the highway but it does have some pump work and bolt ons
Appear in Minnesota are Dodge diesel gets eaten alive by the salt used frame is perfect so I would definitely spray it down nothing will stay on the road for 30 years if you wanted it to that motor will outlive the truck
Plan on undercoating it twice a year
super clean truck! keep that frame oiled... you like fluid film?
I use krown haven’t really used fluid film much it’s not easy to find in my area ! But I hear great things about it just haven’t used it myself so I have no first hand experience with the product
Keep the videos coming my new friend ! 😎🍺
Thank you sir! Will do my friend.
I have no idea why good mechanics will slave in a shop for someone else, in my opinion, mobile maintenance/mechanic is where the good money is.
Granted, it takes a level of intestinal fortitude some people just don't possess.
I agree with that 100 % could not have said it any better myself !!!!!
Sand down those rims and paint them a like grey willl bring life back to the truck
I will be doing that when I change the tires ! But I agree I’ll give it a change it does have beauty covers but they sometimes go missing
Ok I saw Massachusetts on the plate ..
The truck was purchased in Massachusetts and driven back to Ontario a few weeks ago. You definitely did see a Massachusetts plate ☺️
@@tbup-north8718 Wouldn't there be a lot of duty on that ..
Not to bad was still cheaper then anything I could find in Canada
Can’t go wrong with a 12v burning waste oil 👨🏻🔧
Unfortunately that won’t cut it they don’t tolerate any smoke
I clicked on this thinking you were here somewhere in Canada but I guess your in the US ...
We live in Ontario!
This guys in Muskoka!!
Congrats on being able to get free pf your previous gig. Pray it all goes well for you 🙏 What was that tool you used to expand the brake caliper? Is it a brake caliper expander? 😂
Caliper press tool. Found it. All this time, never seen this. I'm buying one.
I believe they label it as that , I have had this tool for years some people like I using c clamps and a old brake pad I was on flat rate at the time and this saved me time and money for sure love the tool definitely recommend it
@@tbup-north8718 that recommendation works for me, even though just seeing it in action sold me. Using c clamps is for the birds; I'm done with that 😂
Bad ass y’all 💪🏻
Thank you brother!
Appears to be a pretty solid for the year nice truck
Thank you it has had some repairs but they seem to be done by the book with good workmanship
Frame above axle is suspect.
I quit mine in April 2022 to start our company. But I use suburban 1500. That little air compressor will run 1 inch gun?
It will when the hold tank is full in the back but it’s hard on it , Milwaukee impact is my go to air is there if I need it but more so for other duties
@@tbup-north8718 I have the 18v 1/2 high torque Milwaukee. But my 1 inch is air
Would look better if the bed was lower to the frame
Stubby putting some work
Such a little tank of an impact

Looks like you had a cracked frame at some point.
Good eye
Get covers for compressor and gen or they will junk
Been looking for a compressor cover online that fits.

Bad ass rig that thing is ready to make money I'm subscribed keep up the bad ass content that no nazis is some serous stuff lol
Thank you very much for the comment and sub it’s amazing the stickers you find on old trucks and tool boxes
Commercial insurance too?
Yes sir that was a bit of an eye opener lol
😂😂
That maple syrup got these guys high as hell.
Possibly some maple syrup abuse over the years !
Quit your job? You are speaking as if you'll be the next millionaire
Isn't that the goal? 🤣
If that's the case then I'll pray that you become a Trillionare
🙏 I am more or less just extremely excited to see where this new adventure goes!! Thank you for the view, comment and prayers
