How are the Laundrie parents even allowed to be anywhere near locations Brian might be at? They shouldn’t have been involved with the search at all. The entire Laundrie family don’t even sound like they cared about Petito, and she’s supposed to be a future family member, absolutely insane.

He drove me crazy & then would blame me for what HE was doing to me/how he was treating me. A real abusive narcissist will have the true victim looking like they’re crazy & make themselves look like they are the one in the right. He pushed my buttons so much, physically abused me, spit on me, pointed a gun (that accidentally went off 5 mins later into the wall) at my face. I started having thought of really hurting that man. Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that aims to change the behavior or perception of others through abusive, deceptive, or underhanded tactics. By advancing the interests of the manipulator, often at another's expense, such methods could be considered exploitative, abusive, devious, and deceptive. Social influence is not necessarily negative. For example, people such as friends, family and doctors, can try to persuade to change clearly unhelpful habits and behaviors. Social influence is generally perceived to be harmless when it respects the right of the influenced to accept or reject it, and is not unduly coercive. Depending on the context and motivations, social influence may constitute underhanded manipulation.

Aside from suspicious behaviors of the parents, finding a part of the skull that can be "verified" through dental records is too much of a coincidence. They might be just buying time for Brian so by the time the DNA extraction results with the remains unfold to be not him he's already away somewhere where he's not about to be seen. Personally, I don't believe he's dead. I hope that cop learned something from this. When the cops are called on a DV call and they find the male being cool and calm and denying responsibility along with the female crying and accepting responsibility, that's clear-cut a domestic violence situation, nine times out of 10 anyway. The person being battered will try to minimize the abuse and even take fault for it so they don't have to be separated but from their abuser. I've been in the situation before and I've seen it happen many times and it never ends pretty. You would think an experienced police officer would know this simple psychology. I'm not trying to bring him down or say anything bad about his judgment; I'm just trying to point out failures that other officers could take notice of and apply them to different situations so that maybe we can stop this abuse and save some lives. Just because a guy looks trustworthy and tells you something doesn't mean he is and doesn't mean he's telling you the truth. I'd blame myself for his actions, he showed jealousy of my own success instead of supporting and encouraging me, he'd use my insecurities, naivety and anxiety to keep himself in control over the relationship to make me stay, gaslighted me, and destroyed me mentally so he could tell everyone that I'm the problem.
I see all of those in just a few seconds of conversation between officer Pratt and Gabby. The only difference is that I have friends and family who supported me, and for that, I was able to handle the situation well and ended the relationship before the situation could get out of control.

You can see this immediately because of how he fills in the gaps with skewed and biased assumptions about a situation he otherwise knows very little about -- and also the obvious data he willfully ignores that actually tell him the truth about the situation. Cops are overwhelmingly likely to be abusers themselves -- and the 2nd cop just identified Brian as a fellow abuser because they have shared attitudes about women that was immediately picked up on, and the 2nd cop let him off the hook because the cop is an abuser himself. He’s dead now so to me they’ve paid their price for anything they may have done to help him (which let’s face it is an understandable thing many patents may do, not the right thing obviously, but understandable).

@@alleycat616 no lol just because he's potentially dead doesn't mean they get to run free. Gabby deserves justice. Now two (allegedly) people are dead so that makes them owe a debt to justice by double.

Off topic but I really appreciate how Spill does this videos with such professionalism and sensitivity.. I'm really glad they posted this; I kept seeing very surface level information about this case and couldn't find a very in depth report so really appreciate this.

The fact that nobody is talking about the HORRIBLE way the police handled things practically serving her to him……. So sick that theyre not suspended!
Sick how youre used to your police being that incompetent, no doubt why you have guns.

Weren’t there two police officers, though? One would have been talking to her, and the other police officer to him to get their stories or something. They were in the same area, but different places doing different things. Its not like he was standing there glaring at her. Anyway, I think it’s likely that they were both at fault in the initial disputes. They were both arguing and hitting each other at different times. Honestly, they should have just stopped the trip.

What did you want them to do? Didn't Gabby herself request not to separated? How can you blame them for something they didn't know everything about. Of course it's sad what happened but there is protocal when you're dealing with these things.

One time, I saw someone get attacked. It was 4 years ago when I was 14. I was at the subway when a girl was walking with a man when the man suddenly punched the girl and twisted her arm. A person called the police and the man got arrested. The ambulance also came. It was a terrifying experience. So all my love goes out to gabby. It could have been brian since he was the only one who was with her. Gabby is a really nice person. She tried to protect Brian from the police so he would not get arrested or charged. And it broke my heart when he didn't help gabby when she was crying. All my love goes out to her. Rip gabby ♡

The police officers who first responded to the call just quickly jumped into conclusions that Gabby is the abuser despite the calls saying that the guy is the one slapping her not the other way around.

The call they were responding to said Gabby was the abuser. She admitted hitting Brian and said that was why he swerved. Didn't you watch the body cam footage? Due to the evidence showing Brian with scratches, which the officers documented, they were going to charge Gabby with DV. It was the second officer who did the wrong thing by being sexist and trying to convince the first officer to let her off, which would not have happened if she was male.
