I'm a jewelry maker, and I'm not cringing. Everyone one has their own way of working with head pins and eye pins. There isn't a right or wrong way as long as it works and you are happy with the outcome.

Don't know if anyone has suggested this but....if you want to customize the ball of the pin you could use colored nail polish or alcohol markers. 😊

50 years ago I used to wear lovely sun hats in the summer. I would go to antique stores to find old hat pins that were 6 or 8 inches long. I have always loved it when everything matched. I would paint the ball on the end of the hat pin with nail polish and let it dry stuck in a pin cushion. I used 2 coats, and let them dry for an hour between coats. Would that work for your orange pin head? That orange would make me crazy lol. Have fun! Hugs, treen 💕💕💕

The green tip is for storing. It doesn’t have a hole in it. You only need to clean it when you take it off after you’re done. It doesn’t dry out as fast as art glitter glue.

Hi what a wonderful idea for the pin - dangles!! I love to make costume jewelry (and didn't cringe) and have lots of beads and findings I can use to achieve this look. I am so glad to have found your video and will subscribe to see what other wonders you have in store for me. Many thanks from Sydney Australia xo

I'm a jewelry maker but I didn't cringe. 😊I thought you did well! There are soft, plastic, conical caps for knitting needles that you can put the pin through instead of the earring back. It covers the nozzle and the pin is still in there; the conical cap helps keep the air out so the glue flows.

Personally, I like bearly art glue as well as I like art glitter. But I find myself being precious with them both because they’re so expensive. So I find myself reaching for Elmers glue-all most of the time, and these (which ever is closest at the time) for very specific things.

Margreth, hi you can use the pin that it came with just like you do for Art, it will not rust or dry out. I have both Art & Bart and store them exactly the same with no problems. I love Art and use him 98% of the time, but Bart is great for vellum or parchment paper as it wrinkles less.

I use both glues and think they are both excellent. I have always just used the pin in “Bart” 😂. I recently made a topper for the art glitter and used a rubber earring backer. It slides over the tip and seals very nicely, reducing how often the glue clogs.

I prefer Bearly Art, mainly because of the shorter bottle and better tip. It’s really easy to clean that tip if you leave it sitting without the pin, too. I store mine with the pin and it’s fine.

Hi Margreth, fyi for any of your European viewers outside of the Netherlands: I recently contacted Doeading about shipping charges to Austria and I found them to be actually quite reasonable - not at all prohibitive as I have experienced with other out-of-country shipments. Certainly worth checking out 😉 (to Austria €10 for orders up to €50 and €7.50 for orders above €50).

For what it's worth, I've kept my pin in my Bearly Art glue for the longest time. No problem as long as the pin is stainless steel. I say that because I bought the mini and did that for the longest time with no problem. I then bought a 4 oz one and did that did end up rusting after a long time BUT IT COULD BE ME, I might have accidently changed the pin with one that I thought was stainless steel but was not. I cleaned out that tip, the rust color hadn't gone into the glue, just the tip. I've got one more pin in my glue box (hench my thought I accidently switched pins). I'm testing that one by placing in a little cup of water before I use it in the glue.

Loved the video! I watched the other video with the wire, but like this method better. My first dangle was from a Chico's necklace from the thrift store and just disassemble it into many pieces. I used the end with the crab claw attached to the pin with a double loop earring back. Quick and easy! I will make another dangle using your method for my "Bart" glue bottle. I think Art Glitter tries faster than Bearly with less wiggle room.

I have used a pin in my Bearly Art, Glue, no dangle.. that is next. I keep mine tipped toward then top. The glue does not run out yet it is aways there and no drying-out either. It is always ready to use tipped toward its head.. My glue stands on its head and always ready to use. I find it quite very much like Art Glitter glue. Only it can be shipped in the winter months.. I live in North East Michigan, USA.. as of this date we still have a plenty of snow and it is 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗 QUESTION... reference the pins to stop up the glue bottles... what if we spray painted them with a coat of clear? Would it stop the rust? IDK, I just thought of it.😊
