The irredeemably ruined Luke Skywalker‘s character, and without Luke Skywalker as the glue holding the entire mythology together there’s no point in sticking with anything Star Wars anymore. I can’t even enjoy the original trilogy anymore, knowing what will happen to Luke’s character in Last Jedi.
There is another... Actually, there are 2 others they have yet to destroy... Been there for every episode except Solo - Which no-one saw... R2, who started the chase that lasted nearly 50 years and his companion, C3... THEY are in fact the GLUE that holds the ENTIRE story together. DROIDS... Soon you'll have your own in real life ! They won't be benevolent like R2 & C3. You may not see them at all - Maybe just once - Before yo...
There is no way to continue the story effectively without deleting the Disney canon. Although I loved the old EU, I would be fine with a good faith attempt at a third canon iteration, but approached with care and concern for every aspect of the universe. It would be possible to take the elements people liked the most from both prior canons, but written well, integrated correctly, and polished well by competent authors. I don't want to seem like I'm disloyal to the EU, because it was fantastic with a few bumps and bruises, but I'm trying to be realistic about expectations. Rebooted canon happens - returning to old canon rarely, if ever, does. Not saying I wouldn't welcome it, but I'd also be good with an honest attempt to take what worked from the EU (and the pitifully limited quality from Disney canon) and create something that at least has the potential to be good. I don't see this happening until there is a purge at Lucasfilm. And I don't see that happening with Disney still owning the franchise.
Maybe we just have to think of this whole Disney thing as a paralell universe / many worlds / other dimension type scenario. Sadly we were in the ONLY World in which we had to watch them... I agree with you as much as it pains me to do so...
On the Brink? It has failed. Could succeed again, but I don't think it will anytime soon
Fair enough 👍

A sad reality, indeed 😕

You may be right, unfortunately. A new canon could be a way forward 🤔
Sad we have to jump through hoops like that 😅
The cultural appropriation of Star Wars.
If you look at it like that, it makes a lot more sense.
Good point. Meaning that's why some projects may look like Star Wars, but don't feel like Star Wars?
@@TwinSunsStarWars Yes, that's right.
just watch the shows..dont do a history paper on it ffs
