Does anyone else notice the camera is usually on Manny's face, not on the dash, the interior fittings, or the scenery, and no cameras are attached to wheel wells or bumpers, it's all about Manny.
Usually wealthy people who get there from their own hard work are consumed with ambition, and I can't say Manny is full of ambition also. When he gets older and looks for means to add "philanthropist" to his accomplishments that will be a telling moment.
I am still waiting for the next great philanthropist to appear, one like Andrew Carnegie, who sold his entire business empire so he could do what he really wanted to do - build an empire of free public libraries, so Americans of all classes could have easy access to books and reference materials. Today the 1% simply want bigger yachts, more summer homes, acres and acres of Wyoming land, big positions letting their money stagnate in the carny game called the stock market, and in the end they park assets in places where money does no good for anyone except those with money.
Only a few are seriously looking for ways to better their community, especially if doing so might cost them money in the long run, or slow their accumulation of more wealth. Heaven forbid if they die with only five billion in assets, instead of six...
