Okay. I'm going to have to go and say it. Bury The Light is the best Devil May Cry theme since Devil May Cry 3. Crimson Cloud is also incredible. The first version of Subhuman was unbearable but that's only because of the vocals. The finished version is actually pretty good. Not on par with the older Devil May Cry themes but still pretty good. I expected Nero Boss fight and wrap it up from there.
Dead weights dont get to be bosses
I don’t see a deadweight boss fight having much challenge or variety unless they gave him an endless supply of arms
Granted it would have been funny to get revenge and bully Nero with his dad after the normal mission 20, I dont think they'd let us do it tho
@@proposterous2808 That’s like saying “I don’t know how they could possibly make a fun fight against Vergil unless he has all three of his weapons!” When, that was quite literally the final Vergil fight in the first place.
@@noctisfatehart not really. Vergil’s yamato only moveset is much more expansive than Nero’s armless moveset. That’s even without taking his summon swords into account. Then you also have doppelgänger and sdt. And let’s not forget his constant tricking. Yamato-only vergil has at least triple the variety and just sheer number of moves of armless nero. As simple as that. And even if that wasn’t the case, the devil bringer on a boss would be a balancing nightmare, so nero wouldn’t work as a boss without some heavy modifications
3:11 what Woolie is talking about, did he stream this? I wanna see it
Victor Borba OP
Do not make eye contact with DMC3/4 Royal Guard but it got so needlessly simplified/slower in 5 that you can do whatever the fudge you want
Can’t wait until dec 15 to figure out what any of this actually means
Where can I see the clip of Woolie reacting to hearing the boss remix?
It's weird that to me some of the easier bosses in the standard game are annoying as fuck with Vergil. Like Artemis and Nidhogg which are both range heavy bosses just feels like an annoying game of tag where you get to do a couple hits and then they run as Vergil. Other than that the regular battles are fun.
What if I want to make eye contact during Royal Guard?
no vergil playthrough?
So basically, just buy vergil alone in dec cuz SE ain't worth it
PC users don't get a choice 😭
@@SinHurr and console players dont get alternate costumes or sick gameplay mods that make the game nearly infinitely replayable. Everybody loses something, so cut the basic bitch emoji shit out. This isn't a digital foundry comment section.
why the hell does Woolie always say wan instead of won? it's so fucking annoying to hear when I know he can say it right.
18:24 That's just delicious to me. The more redundant they can make Nero the better.
"Redundant" is a bold word choice for someone who left three comments about disliking Nero on the same video
@@pareidolist No no I've left more than three. I've been having a full discussion with someone replying to one of my previous comments about how much I hate Nero.
Never going to happen
Can't wait to not buy it and play a better version made by people who give a fuck
Devil Trigger and all its variants are God awful. Devil Trigger is as bad as people say Subhuman is. It actually infuriates me having to listen to it. Luckily now that Vergil has been released I'll never have to anymore because I'll be damned if I ever touch Nero again.
I'm still in shock, because apparently I'm the only who disliked Vergil's theme, the guitar in the beginning rules but don't like the rest of the music. And on my case it's the opposite, I prefer the old vocals waaay more, the new ones is like someone really trying guttural but failing, but the acoustic is better in the new version and Devil trigger embodies DMC5 for me, it's like not just Nero's theme, it's DMC5' theme.
I thought several of the Combichrist tracks were better than anything from 5.
@@danhectic5629 now I can't say is objectively better but even tho it's been years I still dig the soundtrack, throat full of glass and Never surrender rules.
@@ricardomiles2957 I can respect you preferring the old vocals for Subhuman even if I disagree but I can't really get behind the original vocals considering the fact that the original vocalist is a sexual predator.
@@danhectic5629 the music for DmC Devil May Cry was very good. I would have really liked to see some of those battle tracks make it into Devil May Cry 5. But then again that might mean they'd have to make a new deal with Nausea and Combichrist.
