Here it allows us to really take in the beauty and enjoy the 'art'. The rest of the fashion world could take a lesson from that.
This line is a triumph. Absolutely magnificent! Guo Pei, you are a force to be reckoned with! I only hate that I am so late seeing this magic, but at least now I get to be a fan!
Wow... This was a Guo Pei Extravaganza. It's a petty that you never get to see all the little details of the brodery on her gowns in this videos. Love so much her capacity of creativity. But I wonder like, for exemple, if you fall on the floor, would the dress still look the same? They always seem so so sooo delicat, so fragil. Lol if I get ro wear on of those dreses I'll be like, do not touche me, stay away from me.. Don't even talk. I'd loooove ro visit her ateliers.

it is more like the costume -oriented design series. amazing tho. personally, i love the minimalism or contemporary design which has tinge/twist of China/Chinese (not necessarily with pattern or shapes of dragon, phoenix, water lily, etc. Oriental ladies look amazing when they have less make-up but with cat-eye and bold red lips. These are absolutely personal point of view being shared :)
That, and probably to give the audience adequate time to appreciate the beauty of each dress. I'm sure countless hours went into every piece! I think each movement was carefully directed. You can see that they move their hands in a very specific way, almost like a dance! I think it's beautiful.
MY GUESS IS BOTH! THE COULD NOT HAVE WALKED QUICKLY IN THOSE HEAVY GOWNS AND CRAZY SHOES EVEN IF THEY HAD WANTED TO!! Those women were awesome and elegant!! There was sooooo much to see! I appreciated really being able to have a look at each piece!! FABULOUS!
After the dresses, the thing i liked the most was that some of the models were SMILING... unlike Western models who walk like DEAD bodies & plz dear designer, give ur models a little comfortable shoes to walk😂😨

deivi archibold se lo pondria obviamente gente con dinero, eso es alta costura y en la moda nada tiene que ser comodo, por eso la moda es arte y a la vez algo comercial...... la alta costura no es comoda y menos es facil,, si fuera eso entonces seria ropa comun para gente comun ;)

MagicalKid but they can always be reimagined and made in a modern way. That's kinda what the beauty of fashion is. You can take a traditiom spanning thousands of years and reconfigure it to bring it up to date.
Well, these shoes are already "reimagined" compared to what royal females wore during ancient China. Anyway, they are indeed an important part of Guo Pei's vision, and personally I really like them and I'm happy she doesn't give them up. On my view, a Guo Pei show without these platform shoes wouldn't be a true Guo Pei show...

I'd rather be listening to authentic Chinese music... But jigging to my ancestors fiddling is fine by me. :D But seriously, chose your background music wisely. It can take away from the experience. It's unintentionally distracting. :'(
Very original and extravagant clothes, some breathtakingly beautiful. However, putting the models in those "chopine" shoes really turned me off......shades of "bound feet" and other forms of female subjugation.
These costumes are indeed beautiful but I think the main objective for a clothing designer is to design clothing for people to wear... Not just look at! I don't see these clothes being worn any place except a fashion show.

The models are walking 40meters high heel... I would make a good life insurance as if i fall from these high heel i could die surely
