The detent on the "can opener" is just fine, as it is designed as a bottle opener.
The requirement of additional deten is a direct result of your mod.
Thank you very much for this video.
It is very informative, and to the point.
I appreciate your pursue for perfection. It shows on the "patches" of text put in during post production.
    Cheers.

I bought the knife. It deploys quick enough, and the blade is crazy sharp out of the box. The size is really comfy on hands. I got the knife for as low as 12 bucks, and this is my favourite EDC knife now. The only complaint I have is the pocket clip's screw, it is tall and kind of interferes with the clip. Otherwise I love this little asskicker.

Ah yes, the screws that get in the way on the pocket clip. that is no fun.
When I get a bad knife or a knife breaks down I take the screws out and keep them. That way I have been able to amass some screws that have shallow heads and I replace the screws in pocket clips quite a lot.

One would imagine that the airflow over the scales should be quite good:) Every time I see this knife it reminds me of Dads old army knife.

I should give it a good whack with a golf club. My son-in-law is a golf course Vice-Superintendent (not bad at only 25) of a prestigious club just outside of our province's capitol city, I am sure he could help me out with the right club for the job.

Love your channel. That is really a beautiful knife. I really like it. Classic look. I see what you mean about the thumb stud that is to far forward on the blade.

nice little edc package knife. has srm gotten away from the proprietary tools to tighten their knives, so that you can adjust the detente on your own?

I am not sure what you mean, I don't know of much Sanrenmu knives at all with proprietary screws. Maybe you have been following them longer than I have....

Canadian Cutting Edge my bad. it must another knife brand that you reviewed, you had to buy their proprietary tool to take it apart.

I like blade shape of this srm, always want to buy one of them but overall knife is too small -on foto in store always some small child grab that knife in small hand and knife look like big sword :D China seller always use that trick.. tip down pocket clip, no middle lock, why they make false edge in that thin blade?? Nice review Jake, thanks

There have been a couple times when orders take more than 5 or 6 weeks. Earlier this year I had an order from banggood that took 4.5 months. They had already sent replacements that had arrived and then a 5 or 6 weeks after I got the replacements the original order arrived. (I know they came in that order because they had to send a different colour on the replacement because they had run out of stock on the colour I had ordered at first) Sometimes buying from China is just like the lottery, you spend your money and nothing happens.
