Electric scooter abhi tak 5 years bhi nhi run hua hai, glitches , service issues, etc aur bhot problem explore ho rahe he jo time ke saath malum padege.
Agar daily running below 20 km hai so petrol still best deal to go with as of now ,
So my suggestion is to wait for some time . Ev Industry mai aur bhot kuch upgradation aa sakte hai .

When I called OLA customer care they suggested me to go to nearby Kirana he will allow you to charge your scooter.
Trust me i have requested 50+ shops near by but none of them agreed.

Current situation main, Scooter main electric best hai, bikes main petrol best hai. Scooter is not good for intercity travelling, because of safety. They are not designed to do so.
Bikes above 300cc should be preferred for intercity ride. Electric vehicles currently has less range, so better to go for petrol bikes.
Apart from the above, elecric technology is very simple, less moving parts and there is less maintenance. Once you learn to plan your journey in advance, Electric vehicles are more safer, comfortable, cheaper in long run and you don't need to stand in long queue for petrol.
Petrol is miles better. What people are seeing is only battery price. What they dont see is motor price, charger price, display price. If your motor is dead by 10yrs be with ready cash if 50k if it cannot be repaired. And charger as you know original price is 15k. Display is touch so once its lcd life or touch life is over again be ready to spend another 5-10k for orginal replacement. Apart from this this intitial 8years battery warranty is fine, but what if your battery is dead by 9th year and you replace a battery which will only have 1-3yr warranty and what if its dead again in 4yrs. Also in metro cities depending upon your usage its 10-12rs/unit which accounts to 40rs for full charge which upon our casual driving gives you only 100km range. Considering these factor, you end up paying almost double than petrol scooter if you plan to keep the scooter around 10-15yrs. No matter how much kms you ride daily petrol will be the best in long term and ev can never get close atleast for next 5years.

Actually mere jaise daily 35-40 km scooter use bahot log krte hai, agar ev me kuch problem/issues ate hai to service jaldi milta nhi hai ,uske liye apne pass petrol ev chahiye hi chahiye....
As compared to petrol scooter , electric scooter ka body companies banate hi nhi , kuch din baad KHILONA lagne lagta hai , I think usko vibration nhi hota (like engine) , weight Jada nhi hota hai isliye bhi ho sakata hai , kuth parts dalne pde to usa cost bhi jyada hai as compared to petrol scooter parts, Quality & material ke hisab se cost hona chahiye,

Feedback of electric scooters is not available as EVs are not much old.While one can see 25 years' old bajaj petrol scooter or 10 years old petrol activa running on roads one can't be sure about EVs even after 5 years.Next is service facilities if some problems arise in the EV.
No doubt running cost of an EV is 1/10th of petrol scooter but doubts do exist.While a petrol scooter's running cost is 10 times in comparison but service persons are readily available.
Want to purchase an EV but not confident about that as there's no feedback available.
