Dear Kate, I just want you to know how much I appreciate your way of being with us, showing and teaching and sharing your family and life style. You are my very first virtual friend and I'm warmed and challenged. I hope your holidays are lovely and you know how grateful we all are for you. Be well, Nan
For my Mom, having curtains was very important for a home. Before buying a house, they moved often due to my Dad's work. She told me that her curtains never ever fit the windows of their next residence. Decades later, she took classes to sew brocade drapes for our living room. Every year my parents would load up our pickup (with canper shell) with toys, bicycles, sports equipment and clothes to give away to random people in poor neighborhoods. In addition to the baby dolls and dresses, my. Mom always brought curtains. The women would hug her tightly whenever she pulled out curtains that matched their windows sizes. ❤ Thank you for your video.
A shout out to Ant who crafted the perfect shelf and curtain rod.... I wondered about the stained glass look and now I have the answer.. Thankyou Kate, I love your gentle way of explaining and doing.✂️🧵✂️
You are so creative and talented Kate! And oh so inspiring too!!! I love the curtains and the colors you chose. I also like the shelves/curtain rods that Ant made!!!
So happy to see you. Am just taking a break from Christmas gift wrapping. So…sitting on the lime green sofa stitching on my Tana Lawn hexies while watching this video!
Kate, I just replaced my Oliso TG 1600 and reported to the 'manager (I got the luck of the draw) about your video of when You received your Tula Pink Oliso sent you (that fits your electrical hook up). He hadn't seen it, so I looked it up and sent it to him. He loved it. They're so personable at Oliso!
I love your curtains. The look is so appealing to me too. My only thought is this, stitch pennies in the bottom corners so they hang nicely and not flip and fly with the slightest breeze.
@@mike1968442finding (2 pennies) sewn into the bottom curtain hems of older household goods sounds charming. Especially if the penny's stamped years match the curtains completion ❤
Watching your videos is like a meditation. The curtains are lovely. Along with the beautiful stained glass effect, I love looking at the hand stitches in each curtain. They give it soul!
I just love how your curtains turned out. Thank you for the closeup of how the seams go too. I'm about to begin a kawandi quilt and your sideways strips reminded me of how I can use leftover strips in my stash! It's going to be a memory quilt, made of remains from others and I thank you for that video too!
"Lead in the stained glass" ! Oh, Kate, you are a creative genius! And the colours you have chosen are beautiful. I think t some point I have to make a reason to make a 'stained glass' curtain. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Oh Kate! Adore this all! You’ve taught me a new style I adore, a new fabric source, and a new inspiration for my living room curtains! We’ve been nearly 5 years with bare windows and this will be perfect! My husband is a stained glass maker and this would complement his work perfectly in our little cottages house! Sooo excited and grateful to you! Congrats on your glorious imagination!
Hi Kate, love the curtains. Beautiful colors too. Maybe some candle-wax on the curtain-poles to make them slide a bit better in their holes.... Thanks for sharing with us. Love and greetings from The Netherlands
I've got pojagi curtains on my to-do list for next year. I just love the stained glass look of them with the light coming through. I've been slowly collecting just the right fabrics!

Today is near the top..I have a window in my sewing room without a curtain, nor any ideas till ; oh my here you are with a beautiful idea for my precious room and its east facing window..Mornings are glorious ..Thank you many times over..Now for planning colors and reviewing how to do the stitching..I have darners which I have never used..Again, thank you, you bring joy into my life.
I am using the same material andtechnique for a blind its abstract landscape and I will embroider details on with reference to the village I live in. Its a labour of love probably finish around spring.
OMW!!! These curtains are absolutely lovely, Kate!!! When you held the pile in front of your flying geese panel, the fabric matched the tiles perfectly!
Beautiful colors Kate. You inspire me to get my projects done. I ordered the bag , plain from your store and im anxious to get started. Simply love your videos my friend❤
Hello, Kate! Such beautiful curtains. I can see making an improv quilt with that design, using narrow strips of a darkish co-ordinating fabric to mimic the leading-similar to some of Kristen’s @Scrap fabric Love. Flat felled seams are like the ones commonly used on the inside seams on jeans. I yours, after the step were you slid the second fabric under the fold of the first, you’d fold the top fold down to encase the raw edge the topstitch along the edge. Ant-such a clever fellow! Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON🇨🇦
Happy Holidays to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your life and knowledge with us. My sisters, Carol and Jan, and myself enjoy them from Wisconsin USA.
