Many thanks for this video. I decided to go for 100% on this game years after playing and recently got everything but this skill point. When I got it, I had to come back here to say thanks.
Thank you for this guide. Apparently someone else claimed you only need to use the groovitron on every enemy you shoot. Turns out I have to use it on EVERY single character in the game including Talwyn, Zephyr, Crank and Rusty Pete, that sly lucky bi**h who you can’t revisit, meaning I had to do ANOTHER playthrough just to get him. This time I’ll create backup saves up to that point if he doesn’t register.
Dude, seriously THANK YOU! I recently went and bought a PS3 just to play the classics and 100% them, and I could not for the life of me get this skill point for DAYS! Seriously thank you dude!
I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find those guys on Zordoom. Sorry, haven't got around to adding the aditional locations yet. Oh, and I highly recommend gettting the Golden Groovitron before doing this. That should save you a LOT of hastle.
For those who are doing this in 2020, you don't have to make every specific skin of the same enemy to dance. I missed those yellow drophyds at 19:25 because I ran out of groove bombs and couldn't visit other planets to get more. Still I got the skill point at the same place like in this video 🙂
I had almost given up on the skill point until I read this, and I can confirm I was in the exact position: didn't have the Golden Groovitron yet, so I missed some on Rykan V but ended up with the skill point a few minutes ago. Might be that you only need one of each or can just skip those specific ones.
I loved that detail but I always get distracted by clank’s dances while in backpack mode he’s so adorable with his little smile and his eyes seem to get brighter
Almost 2024, and I'm here using your Guide to make this skill point, thank you very much, it helped a lot. But you gave me a real scare when I saw that I didn't get the skill point because of the penguin
That's probably true, given that the Skill Point popped here against one of the late-game Cragmite enemies. It probably all needs to be done in one playthrough. NG+ is recommended anyway since you can buy the infinite-use Golden Groovitron.
@@BigKlingy Yes, when I finished the story, I started a ng+ to level up the rest, give weapons and buy the golden grooviton, and I completed the missing skill points, then how I killed the missable enemies, I decided to leave this skill point for the other ng+, but I thought it saved the progress of the enemies that you made dance, apparently not, anyway, your Guide helped a lot, thanks for the help, now I'm questing for booty, if you know what I mean
You'll see the skill point registered a few seconds into the final Cragmite Warrior's dance, so they don't need to be dancing very long. I just like showing the full animations, lol.
Just started replaying this classic and noticed I never got this achievement. Your video was very detailed and definitely helped me get this achievement. Glad to have finally 100% it after not playing since 2010.
@@BigKlingy definitely a classic, I recently had feeling to do a nostalgic run of all the ratchet and clank games on the PS3. Can't believe there are 10 ratchet and clank games on the PS3 and only 2 games on PS5, don't have the best internet so can't really use PS now.
Oh my gosh, Talwyn, since when do you like to dance? Did you know Ratchet is a really good dancer, but only does it when no one's around? No lie, its true!
Thank you so much for this guide!! I tried getting this skill point without the golden discotron and a small vague guide and got nowhere. But on my second challenge run with gold disco in hand and this video, I finally got it :)
Wow, it works on them too? Thanks for reminding me. Though as you see here, they definatley dont' count towards the skill point. The penguins probably do, so it's more important I showed that.
Everytime I use the Groovitron, it literally makes me dance! Especially when my favorite pops up (The one that was playing in the instructions part) XD
They're pretty much everywhere, It doesn't matter where you find them. This guide just lists everything's first location, for convenience sake. As long as you make sure not to miss anything in RED, it's all good.
It must be done all in one playthrough. I have pretty concrete proof of that, given that I didn't get the skill point (as you see here) until the Cragmite Warrior, despite making him dance in a prior playthrough. I also know for a fact that bosses don't count. Rusty Pete probably does though, and he's missable. So are Kronk, Zephr and Talwyn but you have multiple oppertunities to get them.
Oh my god I just got it..finally omg I'm so happy :) only one left is no, up your arsenal! And then ill be done, Thanks for putting this video together!
And it's actually a Groovitron track... but only in the Japanese version. They really should have included it in the en version, it would have been an awesome call back.
Are you sure characters that appear once need to dance? Because Tachyon isn't included, meaning that other enemies could also no be included. Also Insomniac never programed a Ratchet and Clank game to have skill points and special bolts in areas you can't revisit, so I doubt they would force you to do a replay of the game for this skill point if you misses a certain character.
The later ones, you can. This one's an enemy spawned for a cutscene so it's invincible. It's only supposed to show up in front of you for a few seconds before jumping away, the Groovitron breaks it.
there's 1 enforcer that you can kill on kerwan, that enforcer is seen jumping from building to building but if you throw the Groovitron it will start dancing in the air during the middle of the jump, and will fall.
I'm a little worried now, because on Rykan V, I only had 3 Groovitron balls to use, and I used them on the enemies you've written in red for that level (Cyclo Cannon v2, and the two Drophyd Gunships). I am now on Planet Jasindu, and I'm yet to encounter a Drophyd Defender v2 with a gun and shield. I'm hoping I got a one dancing accidently on Rykan V, but if not... where else can I find a one?
@@canaloquea2897 i dont speak Mexican, but you have to make all the characters dance before you restart into challenge mode. You can still do it in challenge mode, but every time you restart the story, all the characters you made dance won't count anymore, so you have to do it all over again.
Do they have to be allowed to dance the entire dance. I see that you do that and with so many creatures in different areas, I usually don't wait that long.
I’d think so it’s next to impossible to not die in the game especially in the higher difficulties unless the person playing is beyond skilled at the game
It's October 2022, and this massively helped me! Thank you, where ever you may be!

Almost 2024, and I'm here using your Guide to make this skill point, thank you very much, it helped a lot. But you gave me a real scare when I saw that I didn't get the skill point because of the penguin
I remember getting that one because there's a separate Skill Point for making a lot of penguins dance at once. ("Happy Feat", I think)
@@BigKlingy So, I made the penguins dance, in the other New game +, maybe if you start another ng+ the grooviton dances restarts?

True, the movie's workout dance scene at the beginning kind of proves it and I heard that somewhere too, I guess Ratchet's just dance shy? x3

I like the 2nd Warrior dance XD the kazotzky kick!
This guide is perfect! Thank you!
I have no idea how you managed to label all of these enemies but thankyou so much for doing so! :DI love that last bit of text. xD
This took me a while, but I'm glad this helped some people.
It sure did! I would have been at this for days otherwise making every single enemy dance! :D
@@kimiwhoowhoos there were some names that were mentionated during the game, like the obsidian enforcer.

You actually answered, but i forgot the penguins because i have done them in another playthrough, guess you have to do it in 1 playthrough :)
You forgot to put the little bulb-robots which are thrown out by the Takyon's war machine (during the final battle). Anyway useful video!

AMAZING JOB!!
Hello ;)
Very good job guy!
"Must be done in ONE playthrough"?? Well, THERE'S my problem. I was wondering why I hadn't seen it yet. Thanks! :D
Exactly what happened to me.
3:15 so we can't kill those big guys?

Also tachyon snaps out of it and starts attacking you if you shoot him
Now if only we could see what ratchet dances like. :(
